SUMMARY:

This papers aims at highlighting the importance of conducting experiments while teaching
Physics by using a methodology different from the traditional ones. It targets high school
teachers, teacher candidates, and graduates. With that in mind, we will present a didactic
sequence using an active methodology while carrying out experiments with technological
resources to study series association and parallel resistors such as multimeter, protoboard,
battery and variable voltage, through which skills and competences will be developed in order
to build knowledge pertaining to the electrodynamics field namely, circuit, tension, electric
current and electrical resistance. Such concepts are relevant and will enable learners’ with
comprehension of the Ohm Law, which serves as basis to understanding such associations. The
use of technological resources will equally foment Scientific and Technological Literacy (STL)
due to the fact that as educators we must also mediate the use of Science and technology within
the learners’ social context in a way that they can apply the given knowledge critically during
their decision-making processes regarding politics, science, technology, society and
environmental issues. For the theoretical and pedagogical framework we will draw on Ausubel
and Vygotski, for knowledge is built within a social, historical and cultural context and learning
must be meaningful, whereas there is no teaching without learning. The selected methodology
is Flipped Classroom because it is an active methodology that places the learner as the leading
figure during knowledge production, unlike the traditional method. The application of the
product proved to be effective, resulting in a higher level of learning and acceptance by the
students, demonstrating that the use of an engaging methodology can contribute to more
meaningful learning.
