Investigative Didactic Sequence based on Delizoicov's Three Pedagogical Moments for Teaching Thermal Physics using a "Cuscuzeira," applied according to the Design Thinking methodology.

This work is the result of observations made during the pedagogical practice of high school teaching and integrates a significant investigative didactic sequence, leading to the construction of a prototype that supports the teaching of thermal physics, bringing innovation to the teaching practice known as "Design Thinking." The sequence transposes the concepts of thermology and calorimetry to a "cuscuzeira," an object quite common in students' daily lives. The sequence was applied to students in the 2nd year of high school at the Vale das Pedreiras School in Camaragibe, Pernambuco. The developed work allowed verifying the validity of the cognitive structures that students bring with them and the role of previous organizers as anchors for students' learning, as well as motivation through affective aspects of their daily lives, such as the act of eating. Experimentation and problematization from the culinary context were also guiding aspects of the learning process, manipulating abstract concepts through a real experience of physics applied to food. Another important point is the transposition of physics concepts in culinary practices associated with thermal physics for high school content.
