The research addresses a significant gap by focusing on the right of inpatients to the implementation of play spaces in pediatric hospitals. Its general objective is to understand the perceptions about the possible benefits and repercussions of a hospital toy library in pediatric oncological treatment, from the perspective of professionals, families and children. The method adopted is ethnography, with the use of observation, focus group with professionals and family members, and dialogue circles with the children. The analysis of the speeches and texts will use the technique of Content Analysis, inspired by Bardin. The contribution of the research lies in deepening the understanding of the benefits and repercussions of the implementation of play spaces in pediatric treatment units, with the potential to inspire the creation of toy libraries in more institutions. This approach seeks to meet the multifaceted needs of hospitalized children, recognizing the importance of play in their integral development.
