SUMMARY:

This research aims to understand the educational processes of students from their participation in the occupation, considering ethnic-racial issues. The occupations that we are going to analyze took place in 2016, due to the proposal to reform high school made by Michel Temer. The investigative focus seeks to answer the following question: What learning did young people acquire during the process of occupying the school? To answer this question we must (1) analyze the political context in which the occupations take place; (2) Identify the learning that students consider they acquired in the occupation process; (3) Point out issues related to ethnic-racial relations. The research will be outlined from the following concepts/categories: Education and Social Movements, from the reflections of the sociologist, Maria da Glória Gohn (2011; 2014), the pedagogue, Nilma Lino Gomes (2017) and the Spanish sociologist, Miguel Arroyo (2003; 2012); Popular Education, we will use the writings of Paulo Freire (1981; 2005), the anthropologist and popular educator, Carlos Rodrigues Brandão (2006). The research has a qualitative character (MINAYO, 2012), the methodological procedure used will be carried out in four stages: in the first stage: planning: elaboration of the action plan and instruments; in the second stage: documental survey with reflection and comprehensive reading of these - in the third stage: articulation with the students and application of the interview and data collection; and in the fourth stage: the analysis and interpretation of data. The research will be carried out with the participation of 06 young black men and women who occupied the school, 03 men and 03 women who will respond to the interview.
