The social visibility of childhood, especially early childhood, is recent in Brazil and has been conceptualized by various government and civil society actors. However, it was with the approval of the National Plan for Early Childhood (2010) and the Legal Framework for Early Childhood (BRAZIL. Law No. 13,257/2016) that this issue gained national prominence. Subsequently, new actions and programs were established, and in this context, the Early Childhood Program in SUAS/Happy Child Program (BRAZIL. Decree No. 8,869/2016) proposes the promotion of comprehensive attention and care for human development through support and monitoring of comprehensive child development in early childhood. The program is implemented in an intersectoral manner in municipal territories with the participation and partnership of the Health, Education, Culture, Economic Development, and other related areas. It involves individualized activities through home visits aiming to ensure the right to a healthy early childhood with positive parenting practices in their daily lives, with responsive caregivers who understand the guidance and reflections provided by the social visitors of the program. In this context, the present research aims to conduct an exploratory study of the Early Childhood Program in SUAS/Happy Child Program in Recife, Pernambuco, from 2018 to 2022, analyzing the practices of positive parenting in the daily lives of the children and families served. It intends to carry out exploratory research with the objective of providing a general, approximate view of the phenomenon at hand. Interviews will be conducted with the social visitors, as well as focus group discussions and document analysis. For data analysis, both document analysis and content analysis will be used as the two fundamental methods for the research, as they are particularly useful when seeking to understand the meaning, patterns, and relationships present in document.
