Education for Ethnic-Racial Relations (ERER) in Physical Education in Comprehensive Elementary Schools
Ethnic-Racial Relations Education.Comprehensive Education. Physical Education.
This research project, still in progress, focuses on the presence of Education for Ethnic-Racial Relations (ERER) in Physical Education in Full-Time Education Schools at the Elementary School level in the city of Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. The objective of this research is to analyze Education for Ethnic-Racial Relations in curriculum policies and in the work of Physical Education teachers in integral education in elementary school. Our methodological perspective proposes a qualitative research approach to conduct the investigation. Therefore, we will utilize the approach of Stephen Ball and collaborators, particularly focusing on the context of influence, text production and practice, as well as the concept of "performance". The investigation will include an analysis of the "implementation policies" of Law No. 10.639/2003 and Law No. 11.645/2008, and will also include interviews with teachers from the Pernambuco State School System. From a data analysis perspective, we will use the Textual Discourse Analysis (TDA) of Moraes and Galiazzi (2006). It is expected that the findings will contribute to a better understanding of ERER (Education for Racial and Ethnic Relations) in curriculum policies and in the work of Physical Education teachers in comprehensive education.
