This research project investigates the social, affective and cognitive interactions of babies in the theatrical context, focusing on the dynamics of communication and development that emerge from theatrical practices with babies. The main objective of the research is to understand how the interactions of babies during theatrical activities can promote their integral development, considering sensory, affective and cognitive aspects. The methodology adopted is qualitative, with emphasis on the cartography of Deleuze and Guattari and the affective cartography of Suely Rolnik, which offer theoretical and methodological tools to map the sensory and affective experiences experienced by babies during the scenic intervention. The research will be carried out through three meetings with a group of babies, using as a basis the theatrical intervention entitled "Gotinhas de Mundo", an immersive scenic action that will involve visual, auditory and tactile stimuli to promote the exploration of the element of water. The theoretical framework is supported by four axes: Vygotsky's Historical-Cultural Theory, which highlights the role of social and cultural interactions in development; Social Studies of Childhood, with contributions from authors such as Gabriela Tebet and Angêla Coutinho, who consider childhood as a social category; Pedagogy of Childhood by Paulo Fochi, Maria Carmen Barbosa, Jader Lopes and Luis Miguel Pereira, which focuses on the child as an active subject, values aesthetic and playful experiences, has a relational and affective approach and dialogues with studies of Early Childhood Education; and Theater, with contributions from Augusto Boal and Viola Spolin, who approach theater as a tool for expression and communication. The intervention will be recorded by videography to allow detailed analysis of the interactions of babies with the environment and other participants, mapping how theater can promote social, affective and cognitive development. The research aims to expand the field of Theater with Babies, recognizing the leading role of babies in their learning and development process.
