School Management; Rooting; Racial Relations
This project aims to investigate the role of school management in the implementation of ethnic-racial relations education in two elementary schools - initial years, in a municipality in the state of Pernambuco. After twenty years of the establishment of the compulsory teaching of the theme "Afro-Brazilian History and Culture (law no 10.639/2003) and fifteen years of indigenous themes (law 10.645/08), in the National Education Guidelines and Bases Law (Law n. 9.394/96). This study aims to analyze comparatively the performance of school management in relation to the actions undertaken with regard to education for ethnic-racial relations in elementary schools, in order to identify similarities and differences of the types of school management, in order to characterize how school management collaborate for the rooting of anti-racist educational practices or their performance inhibits or creates barriers to these practices. The research will be conducted in two schools of the municipal network of Limoeiro, in the state of Pernambuco. For the collection of data, non-participant observation, examination of documents, interviews with managers, teachers and pedagogical coordinators, and photographic records will be used, always after express authorization from the subjects of the research. For the analysis of data will be used Content Analysis.
