SUMMARY:

The present study aims to map out artivist organizing and production tactics as webs in the creation of aesthetic and political narratives stemming from the Global South, understanding within these the emergence of pedagogical processes in constant construction. More specifically, the research delves into tracing clues about the emergence of premises and assumptions about education in the tactics developed by the anti-racist feminist collective Mostra Nacional TROVOA (BR) over the past 6 years, in dialogue with five artists from the Pernambuco regional nucleus of the collective. The methodology employed invests in cartography (ROLNIK, 2011; ROLNIK; GUATTARI, 2006; KASTRUP; PASSOS; ESCÓSSIA, 2009) with A/R/Tographic insights (DIAS; IRWIN, 2023) to follow processes and grasp the coproduced meanings in encounters with the collective, invoking an artisanry of attention and an active subjectivation stemming from experiences lived in relation to these women. Regarding theoretical references, the research situates itself in the field of decolonial feminisms as epistemological, ethical, aesthetic, corporeal, and political frameworks (LUGONES, 2014; ANZALDÚA, 1987; CURIEL, 2019; GAGO, 2020; LORDE, 2021; KILOMBA, 2019), conversing with the poetic-political possibilities of building decolonial feminist aesthetics (BIDASECA; SIERRA, 2022). To contemplate the pedagogical insurgencies of these poetic-political feminist artivisms, the research project weaves links with the field of popular education from some of its foundational references (FREIRE, 1987; PALUDO, 2005; STRECK, 2006; BRANDÃO, 2017), adding to these contemporary perspectives on decolonial pedagogies and aesthetics (WALSH, 2013) and feminist pedagogies (MATOS, 2018; LIMA; NERI; SILVA, 2021; OLIVEIRA et al., 2022). By contextualizing this insurgent scenario of feminist artivisms from/in the Global South, the research project seeks to contribute to specialized literature on artivisms, bringing visibility to their artistic, political, and pedagogical potential grounded in collective experience and micropolitical tactics of re-existence.
