The present research project constitutes a study from the perspective of the sociology of childhood that aims to analyze the perception of children in kindergarten on emergency remote teaching in a municipal public school in Recife. As for the specific objectives, we intend to situate the public policies for early childhood education adopted by the city of Recife in the context of the pandemic and post-pandemic of Covid -19; reflect on the educational strategies put into practice during the period of remote classes, listing their potentialities and limitations; and, identify how children perceive the differences between face-to-face teaching and remote teaching adopted by the Education Department of Recife.Our study os characterized as a case study with a qualitative approach. Regarding data collection and analysis techniques, we will use the surprise box, participant observation,semi-structured interviews and content analysis. The theoretical- methodological framework will be compôs-se of the following authors, Sarmento (2005), Simões and Resnick (2019), Corsaro (2011),Mello (2007), Yin (2005), Minayo (2014), among others.
