Field education studies in Brazil are closely linked to the struggle of rural workers, represented by Peasant Social Movements, which bring in their banners and claims, the construction of specific educational policies, recognizing rural peoples as subjects of rights. Considering that the access and permanence of students in the field, when experiencing their training in a nearby school and with contextualized teaching, is to legitimize and ensure respect for local specificities. This research entitled “Educação do Campo: effects of the nucleation policy in the municipal network of Ipojuca-PE”, aims to investigate the effects of the nucleation policy of rural schools in the municipality of Ipojuca-PE in the educational process, with the temporal parameter from 2014 to 2022, in the perception of teachers. The development of the work will be based on an exploratory qualitative approach, with a bibliographical and documentary survey, which will subsidize our studies. The empirical research will be carried out through semi-structured interviews, with teachers involved with the nucleation of rural schools. The proposal is structured in the following sequence: in the first chapter: “Education in the countryside as a strategy for access and retention of students”; second chapter: “The nucleation of schools in the countryside as a process of choice of management organization” and in the third chapter: “Analysis of the effects of implementing the nucleation of schools from/in the countryside in the municipality of Ipojuca-PE”. When considering the relevance of the research, it is expected that the result of this study can contribute to an understanding of the effects of implementing this policy, in order to support decisions about this process with great effects on the municipal education network, in addition to pointing out possible strategies to minimize impacts and improve this policy.
