REFLECTIONS ON ETHNOART/AFROCENTRATED EDUCATION: A STUDY OF THE ARTISTIC AND TRAINING PROCESSES OF THE SEAMSTRERS OF ROÇA OXAGUIÃ OXUM IPONDÁ

This project aims to describe and interpret the phenomena around of Art/Education in a Terreiro of African Matrix in Pernambuco, being the result of anxieties and concerns linked to this important area of knowledge that, in turn, it is still little recognized and explored by academic studies. Having as research field the Roça Oxaguiã Oxum Ipondá, this project aims, above all, to understand the phenomena of Art/Education experienced in this sacred space through its artistic and formative processes - around the know-how of the seamstresses of Terreiro -, that bring decolonial and countercolonial perspectives through the exercise of interculturality supported by a “circular training model” , which differs significantly from Western Art/Education processes.
