SUMMARY:

Faced with a context in which education in Brazil was configured from an elitist bias, and that Full-Time High School can represent the inversion of the educational logic that reproduces the cycle of inequalities characteristic of today's society, it is necessary to understand the social and cultural circumstances that motivate young students to be at school in the face of the challenges encountered. Thus, this research project has as object of reflection the Full-Time Education policy of Rio Grande do Norte for High School and the meanings of the school and the mobilization in relation to the students' knowledge. Therefore, the general objective of this research is to understand how the full-time high school of the state network of Rio Grande do Norte mobilizes students in their relationship with the knowledge and meaning of the school, taking into account the differences in gender, race/color and class. To achieve this, the following specific objectives were proposed: 1. Characterize the full-time secondary education policy in Brazil and in the public network of the State of Rio Grande do Norte; 2. Mapping who are the students of state high schools in full time in the municipality of Currais Novos; 3. Identify the relationship with the knowledge and meaning of the school established by the students, taking into account differences in gender, race/color and class; 4. Understand how the Full-Time High School experience mobilizes these students in their relationship with knowledge and expansion of the meaning of school. We consider this study proposal a relevant element of reflection on High School, and in particular, on full-time school, while the focus of investigation is centered on student observation, recognizing the active voice of these subjects, from the reports of their experiences and educational experiences.
