SUMMARY:

The school is one of the spaces for the integral formation of the subjects, however, the student model forged in its creation is not very similar to the current students. The new generations have multiple and complex identities, they are people who discover each other with each new day, while they are the effect of practices of signification (HENNINGEN; GUARESCHI, 2006, p. 66). Butler (2016) tells us that, says that “people” only become intelligible by acquiring their gender. It's almost like a pre-existence of the baby. These gendered children live and act in a globalized and compulsory world. It is through these relations of power and strength that our subjectivity is created, in a constant (re)construction of meanings. Therefore, envisioning an education for diversity and thinking about these subjects, this research has as its object of study the process of subjectivation of the students' gender identity(ies). From a post-structuralist theoretical basis (PETERS, 2005) and from the perspective of Cultural Studies HALL, 1980; 1997, 2006; 2013; GIROUX, 2003; SILVA, 2001a, 2001b; LOURO, 1997; FOUCAULT, 1977; NEIRA et al, 2018) and Queer Theory (LOURO, 2001; 2006; SWAIN, 2011; PRECIADO, 2011; PEREIRA, 2012; DINIZ, 2013; BUTLER, 2016), we turn to the following question: how are the( s) Gender identity(ies) of students from School Physical Education classes? Treating these pedagogical realities from the perspective of Cultural Physical Education (NEIRA 2014, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020; NEIRA & NUNES, 2009a, 2009b, 2009c, 2020, 2021; NUNES 2016a, 2016b), we aim to: understand how this process of subjectivation of the students' gender identity(ies) is given from the Physical Education classes in a group of Public Schools in the state of Pernambuco. We designed a methodological path characterized by research with a qualitative and exploratory approach; making use of the participant-observation method, which, according to André (2018) is a set of methodological techniques that presupposes a great involvement of the researcher and the studied situation; and the Freirean method of culture circles; our techniques will be document analysis and content analysis, more specifically the Discursive Textual Analysis. Our instruments will be field diaries and voice recordings collected during participation in the circles. We believe that this research can contribute to a better understanding of students and to teacher training, as it socializes experiences from the school floor, in addition to providing opportunities for reflection on practice for the inclusion of all people, identities and knowledge.
