SUMMARY:

This research project has as its main premise to understand how managers and teachers of the Municipal School José Rodovalho, located in the municipality of Jaboatão dos Guararapes interpret/translate the Integral Education Policy. In this sense, based on the approach of the policy analysis cycle by Stephen J. Ball and collaborators, we will analyze how the performance of this educational policy has taken place in the daily life of this school. Our research questions emerged from the questions raised by Mainardes (2009), one of the contributors to Ball's theory, namely: How do teachers, principals, pedagogues and others involved interpret the texts? Has there been any change from the formulation period to the present day? What about possible changes in the current government's management and adaptations to the text of the original policy? How has the relationship been and is there resistance, autonomy, difficulties, opinions and dissatisfactions of these professionals? To answer such questions, we have the following specific objectives: Analyze the context that influenced the formulation of the municipality's Full-Time Education Program; Discuss the current political context that influences the Integral Education Policy of the municipality's Education Department; and, finally, Verify how the performance of the management team and teachers of that school approaches or distances itself from the conformities expressed in the document formulated in the implementation of the municipal Integral Education Program. As a research method we adopted the case study with a qualitative approach and as for the research strategies and data collection: search for legal/institutional documents and semi-structured interviews with managers, teacher and sobservation of everyday life at school.
