SUMMARY:

Considering the difficulties many incoming higher education students encounter in Mathematics courses, this study aims to analyze the contributions of using digital learning objects as a methodology in a Pre-Calculus course in distance learning programs. This involves contributing to the activities of both faculty and students, enabling alternative approaches to the content, and fostering student engagement. The research is qualitative and quantitative in nature and is applied. Its objectives are exploratory and descriptive. The procedures include a bibliographical search to develop the theoretical framework and systematic literature mapping, and a field study, which involves observing virtual learning environments and administering questionnaires to faculty and students, consisting of objective and subjective questions. The questionnaire data will be analyzed using descriptive statistics and Johnny Saldanã's Coding Cycles technique for the objective and subjective questions, respectively.
