SUMMARY:

The work of education professionals in the hospital environment seeks to guarantee the educational process for students who are undergoing prolonged health treatment as recommended in public education policies. However, one of the problems found in the literature for the exercise of work in the hospital area is the lack of content aimed at this context in undergraduate teaching courses. This study aims to verify whether theoretical and practical content in the scope of hospital education is present in the teaching materials of the undergraduate courses offered by the Academic Unit of Distance Education and Technology of the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco. To this end, this work takes as a theoretical reference Pedrosa (2021), Silva, Cruz and Almeida, (2023) and Giuriatti and Stecanela (2022) who deal with hospital pedagogy, Inclusive Education and Hospital Pedagogy in the curricular matrices of undergraduate courses. In addition to analyzing the publications in the main journal platforms of the last six years. The research methodology adopts a qualitative approach, using documentary analysis of teaching materials and regulatory documents as the main data collection strategy, seeking to understand the importance of the requirements demanded by legislation for teacher training. Thus, the work seeks to point out the discussions found in the scientific productions of the main Brazilian databases about hospital education policies and inclusive education and the approach of Hospital Pedagogy in the undergraduate courses of UAEADTec of UFRPE.
