Distance education; professional qualification; Skills for the EAD.
The present study seeks to analyze the practices, challenges and needs of the body of professionals who work directly in the Poles Distance Education (EAD) of the vocational education institution, the Professor Antônio Carlos Gomes da Costa Technical School (ETEPC) located in Recife -PE, for the composition of an instrument that works as a training manual, providing opportunities for optimization and standardization of work in the institution. It is understood that in the field of Distance Education it is necessary that all educational actors always have their theoretical and practical knowledge revisited in an exhaustive way so that mediation with their students can occur satisfactorily. Given this, the research intends to raise subsidies that can compare existing works, productions and methodologies and thus, if so, propose improvements based on good practices that can effectively help distance learning professionals. The study is characterized as bibliographical, exploratory, documentary and field, having as data collection instrument a semi-structured questionnaire with 12 questions that will be applied in three poles of ETEPC, with 2 responsible tutors in each one of them. Preliminary results lead us to reflect on discussions involving professional training and competences and skills for distance learning, bearing in mind that, through a systematic mapping to support the theoretical construct of the document, it was observed that there is a gap in these discussions over the last five years, by retrieving documents from the Brazilian Theses and Dissertations Library (BTDB) from 2018 to 2023. Furthermore, this research proposes, at the end of it, to deliver a Manual to the academic community, ETEPC and the general community of Procedures and Experiences (product) to help improve the services offered by distance learning centers.
