Facebook; teacher training; mobile learning; social networks.
This study on the use of the social network Facebook as a virtual mobile learning environment, for the continuous and permanent training of teachers, mediated by mobile technologies, in a perspective of mobile, online and distance learning. It intends to understand how this social network can contribute to the learning process of students (teachers and students), which in a humanistic perspective of education, can strengthen learning. It seeks to analyze this network as a space of connection between knowledge and between humanities, in addition to a tool, contemplating it as a space for collaboration, co-creation and construction of socially shared knowledge. To make sense of these structures, the research was developed through a qualitative approach, through a semi-structured questionnaire, to understand the prior knowledge of teachers at a high school in the state of Ceará, followed by a systematic observation to analyze the behaviors and postures adopted by these teachers, ending through an interview to report their experience and life history, where the subjects contribute with the reports of their experiences and how they can contribute to their maturation as a professional. As a result of the research, we propose the educational product, a continuing education for Facebook as a learning space, this formation entitled “Facebook: a network made in patches”. A training proposed in the online modality of drawing from the Design Thinking approach, which considers the experiences of users. This training plan results in the construction, by the participants, of an interdisciplinary didactic sequence to use this network as a learning space.
