DISTANCE CORPORATE EDUCATION IN TRAINING SMALL BUSINESS MANAGERS: current status and demands potential in the city of Recife-PE

The business environment is marked by fierce competitiveness. And it has been undergoing constant changes, especially due to the digital transformation. The appropriate response to this environment is people, therefore, developing them in management skills becomes of paramount importance. Thus, Corporate Distance Education arises to align the training of partners and managers with the objectives of small companies. In this way, education acquires a strategic character in organizations. This study was developed to assess whether it is contributing to the achievement of these objectives. This research intends to investigate if entrepreneurs of small companies consider the methodology of managerial qualification through EAD valid. It also intends to investigate the contribution of corporate distance education in the training of small business managers and to identify the demands for business training in order to offer courses through Distance Education, aimed at training these entrepreneurs, in themes related to business management, education and innovation. One of the reasons detected by SEBRAE research was the lack of investments in managerial training. In relation to difficulties, there are only a few obstacles to obtaining qualified and detailed information. The theme will be approached through quantitative and qualitative research. As for nature, it will be applied, exploring a real problem and with immediate application. The objectives will be exploratory and descriptive. As for the technical procedures, it will be through bibliographic research, documentary research and field study. Research will show whether the hypothesis will be proven.
