REDOX MECHANISMS AND ELECTROANALYTIC APPLICATIONS OF TRYPTOPHAN METABOLITES KYNURENINE AND KYNURENIC ACID

This work aims to investigate redox properties and thermodynamics of kynurenine pathway metabolites, using electrochemical techniques and carbon electrodes, glassy carbon and boron-doped diamond electrodes. Complementary studies using UV-Vis and IR spectrometry and gel electrophoresis will also be carried out. Potentialities of the electrochemical responses of the investigated kynurenines will also be explored for electroanalytical applications.
