SUMMARY:

The following research, in progress, linked to the line of Teaching of History and Regional Culture, has as its central theme the Teaching of Afro-Brazilian and African History and Culture in the municipality of Moreno-PE, 20 years after the enactment of Law 10.639/03 and 10 years after the Municipality of Moreno was forced to sign a Term of Adjustment of Conduct (TAC) for not complying with the legislation. It is within this time frame, using the methodology of Documentary Analysis and Oral History, where we will analyze the documents produced by the Municipal Education Secretariat, Laws created at the time, textbooks and paradidactic books purchased at the time, action plan, in addition to interviewing and collecting the reports of teachers, managers between the years 2013 -2023. With this, we will seek to analyze the advances and setbacks in the search for this historical reparation that the law brings and an anti-racist education. It is from the Teaching of Afro-Brazilian and African History, the practices and knowledge of this body of professionals that we interviewed, that we will also seek to understand if these contents addressed contemplate an anti-racist, deloconial and critical education to Eurocentric contents, which is dominant in History contents, which often makes discussions about racial minorities in the school environment invisible and unfeasible.
