SUMMARY:

The Covid-19 pandemic triggered by the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) in 2019 required a rapid change in face-to-face teaching and learning processes, driving the use of digital technologies as the main alternative in emergency remote teaching. In this context, a movement of attention has been revisited in the Brazilian educational sphere, which concerns the use of digital technologies in teacher training for science teaching, alerting universities and trainers to the importance of professional learning mediated by a digital culture. Faced with an offer of continuous actions aimed at the use of digital technologies, as well as the expansion and diversification of teaching strategies through the use of active methodologies in higher education, within the scope of the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), the present study seeks to analyze the implications of continuing education for the use of TDIC in the actions of teachers working in the area of Natural Sciences Teaching at UFRPE. To this end, the research field is UFRPE, and the participating subjects are teacher trainers and trainee teachers who work in undergraduate courses in biology, physics and chemistry. The methodological approach of the research is qualitative in nature, organized in three stages: an exploratory phase consisting of a systematic review of the literature on the contributions of teacher training to the use of digital technologies in the area of Natural Sciences Teaching; fieldwork with information gathering through questionnaires and interviews with the subjects; and, finally, taking as reference the study by Moraes and Galiazzi (2006), the treatment and analysis of the data will be carried out based on discursive textual analysis.
