SUMMARY:

In Brazil, in 2017, with the arrival of the Basic National Curricular Common (BNCC) of Basic Education, several political changes took place in the panorama of national education. After approval by the BNCC, states and municipalities were directed to review and restructure their curricula. In this process, it was necessary to consider the role of professors, their knowledge and participation in the process of producing these documents. It is certain that the making of the Base and the documentary productions related to it were configured as an arena for the production of knowledge, in which social groups with different cultural capitals took part in different ways. As a normative document, the BNCC presents itself as a reference for the elaboration and revision of Brazilian school curricula, however, it also implies a decentralized process, which takes place both inside and outside the school. Indeed, curriculum production constitutes a conflictual field in which social groups struggle for hegemony in the production of meanings. In this research, we used references associated with the Educational Policies Production Cycle approach elaborated by the English sociologist Stephen Ball and his collaborators, among them the Brazilians Alice Casimiro Lopes, Elisabeth Macedo and Jefferson Mainardes. As part of this theoretical-methodological framework, we mobilized the notion of discursive practices in the sense of Michel Foucault, the curriculum being both text and discourse. We work with the hypothesis that in the context of producing the text of the curriculum policy in Pernambuco, there was a relative public participation of teachers in the elaboration of the curriculum, due to both the weight of the national document on the elaboration of the state text, and of conditioned forms of representative participation. Therefore, in this research project, we aim to analyze the production process of the curricular policy in the area of Natural Sciences in the Final Years of Elementary School of the Pernambuco State Network (CPE-CNEFAF), focusing on teacher participation and the discourses mobilized by the actors social. To carry out this undertaking, we will adopt a qualitative approach, analyzing the discourses of natural science teachers who participated in the production process of the curriculum policy document, as well as the final CPE-CNEFAF document.
