SUMMARY:

Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICT) are interfaces that are currently present in the most different and varied social contexts, and that are causing significant changes in the way human beings act, think, relate and feel. In Education, specifically in the teaching and learning process, in relation to the contemporary Brazilian scenario, there are imminent reflections of the lack of knowledge for the proper use of these interfaces in the classroom, appropriate infrastructure and compatible investments in the face of the new demands of the technological world. As a result, technologies are generally seen (usually) as a challenge rather than an opportunity. In this sense, the teaching and learning process in contemporary times needs flexible and adaptable alternatives that enable the insertion of DICT in an adequate and effective way. Active Methodologies emerge as a possibility, given that they place the student at the center of the teaching and learning process, can be used with DICT, in addition to promoting and valuing autonomy, engagement, sharing and critical thinking. A theoretical model that proposes the combined use of Digital Information and Communication Technologies with Active Methodologies: Active Technological Learning. Consisting of five pillars: Teaching Role, Student Protagonism, Technological Support, Learning and Assessment, this model suggests that human beings have mastery over learning through content available on digital platforms at any time and occasion of everyday life. Furthermore, the combined use of Digital Technologies with Active Methodologies enables the development of autonomy, creativity, collective collaboration and critical thinking. From the panorama presented, this dissertation has as a research question “what are the contributions of Active Technological Learning as a pedagogical proposal in Chemistry Teaching in public schools of the state education network of Pernambuco in the context of High School?”. In order to answer the question, the objective of this dissertation is “to evaluate the potential for the application of Active Technological Learning as a pedagogical proposal in Chemistry Teaching, by teachers and high school students from state public schools in Sirinhaém-PE”. Qualitative in nature, the methodological path is divided into two stages. The first stage consists of an exploratory bibliographical research, in which the Systematic Literature Review technique was adopted. The second stage is a descriptive research of a practical nature and was divided into four phases (observation, planning, elaboration and intervention), in which the Action Research methodology will be used with a structured itinerary with an observation form, interview and evaluative questionnaires. Regarding the analysis of collected data, Content Analysis will be adopted. As a result, it is hoped that the use of Active Technological Learning in the High School context will contribute to meeting the social demands required by the contemporary world, as well as providing an increasingly accessible, inclusive and technological Education.
