SUMMARY:

The Teaching of Chemistry (TC) in Brazil has gained ground in recent decades and has become
constituting a rich field of investigation, among the innumerable methodologies that
emerged over time, there is Problem Solving. The use of the Resolution
of Problems in the school environment, may contribute to the understanding of the processes
science and the nature of science enabling students to promote knowledge.
In Problem Solving, the teacher becomes the mediator of knowledge by doing
questions and mediating the path taken until the student finds the solution to the problem.
proposed problem. Problem Solving can also be linked to the various
didactic resources, among them, the games. Among the vast field of game genres present
in the literature, the Role Playing Game (RPG) is the one that most has identical characteristics with the
Problem Resolution. In this game, players play characters, created by
players themselves, immersed in a universe. Roleplaying can promote student autonomy
in research and in the construction of their own knowledge, but also to motivate cooperation,
empathy, promote playfulness throughout the learning process, respecting the
subjectivity and heterogeneity of students in the same classroom. Before these
considerations, it is possible that significant results can be achieved in learning the
student in the ludic experience from the resolution of problems, mainly to what is
refers to the study of Atomic Models, since this is an abstract content and difficult to
assimilation by students when introduced in the classroom. From the point of view
methodological, this research will take a qualitative approach to the data, it will be
developed in a Basic Education school, with students from the 1st grade of
High school. This project aims to analyze the possible contributions of a
playful experience with RPG through Problem Solving for training
concept of Atomic Models and as a methodological reference, will follow Analysis of
Contents (AC) of Bardin.
