Dropout is a highly complex phenomenon that affects institutions at all levels around the world. In this way, we sought to identify which factors affect the problem of dropping out of undergraduate courses in the area of agrarian science at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco - UFRPE. The abandonment of the classroom is a problem that directly affects the institution due to the waste of financial resources, since to keep a student in a public university requires very high costs, as well as to hire professors and other collaborators that constitute the organization, as well as affects young students who enter university with the great dream of becoming professionally qualified and graduating, but who, over time, give up the long-awaited diploma. In this way, it is important to investigate which factors most likely affect the early dropout of students from their undergraduate courses, that is, even before they drop out in the first year of the course, and thus find possibilities to reduce or zero the chances of dropouts. of students who actually need attention, through the internal and external factors that contribute to this abandonment. The technique was used to identify the factors that contribute in a positive/success and negative/failure way, applying such a technique to support the proposed indicator and strengthen the decision-making of the managers of the pedagogical and student assistance support teams.
