SUMMARY:

This study investigated the potential and complexity of time series for wind speed in the period from 19 to 2097 in the Northeast region of Brazil. To understand the temporal behavior of the variable in studies, hierarchical clustering and multiscale entropy methods were used. It was observed that there were no occurrences of any of the longest months or throughout the months that were observed in the winter seasons and in the spring territory.
