Qualification exam
multivariate analysis; carcass; discriminating analysis; meta-analysis; bibliometry; Genomics
For the qualification in question, four activities were requested to be carried out, the first of which was requested by Professor Dr. Roberto Germano Costa to use linear and quadratic discriminant analysis to verify the efficiency of each analysis in the carcass classification of sheep and goats of locally adapted breeds. The second activity requested by Professor Dr. Lúcia Helena de Albuquerque Brasil with the following objective: to obtain a multiple regression model that allows the prediction of yield and hot and cold carcass weights of locally adapted sheep and goats. The third activity requested by Professor Dr. Maria Antônia Revidatti was to conduct a bibliometric review to evaluate the current perspective of studies related to the carcass evaluation of goats and sheep of locally adapted breeds. The fourth and last was requested by Professor Dr. Laura Leandro da Rocha to carry out a systematic review to evaluate the studies carried out in the field of genomic selection directed to the carcass characteristics of sheep and goats in Brazil and the world.
