SUMMARY:

As one of the dimensions of self-education, eco-education is a process of inner search and growth, based on multisensory interaction with the human and natural environment, in a harmonious, integrative and axiological way. Beyond individualism, cognitivism and utilitarianism of knowledge, we wish to know in greater depth, theoretically and investigatively, this eco-education pole in the self-education process (Pineau, 2002; Galvani, 2002). Starting from respect for the ecosystemic human nature, taking into account its relationships with others and with the environment, we transcend the sensitive reality (Torre et al., 2008, p. 43), eco-education is a dialogic, complex and articulating process of rescuing life in its complex and systemic connections. When we reflect on this process and the current planetary changes, in the educational and human context, that surround teachers, it is notable that school demands need to be rethought, mainly regarding the pedagogical and formative practices of teachers. In this sense, when we bring as a research problem, how can the fabric of eco-training processes contribute to the self-training process of natural science teachers in the context of continuing education? As a thesis proposal, we outline the process of self-training of natural science teachers as constituted by the eco-training fabric of being and being a teacher. Our objective is to understand the fabric of the self-training process of science/biology teachers considering the elements that cross eco-training in the movement of being and being a teacher in the context of continuing education. To achieve this objective, we outline the following specific objectives: to enunciate narrative reflections brought by science/biology teachers about experiences that marked the trajectories of their teacher education process; to analyze the constructive and formative experiences of science/biology teachers, based on the self-training processes in continuing education; to announce the eco-training elements that define the paths and journeys of science/biology teachers in the continuing education experienced. We will take as territories, from the perspective of complexity, ecosystemic thinking and transdisciplinarity (Moraes, 2008; Morin, 2020; Nicolescu, 1999) in the process of Self-training in the continuing education of teachers, attentive to the dimension of human formation throughout life. We chose autobiographical narratives as formative instruments built on reflective introspection of oneself, with the other and with the environment, and they will be the basis for constructing the research corpus (Josso, 2008, 2020; Passegi, 2016; Souza, 2007). Since this investigation has a qualitative approach, we will carry out a research-training (Josso, 2008) guided by self-(trans)formative dialogical circles (Henz, 2015), in an Ecoformative process (Torre et al., 2008; Torre; Zwierewicz, 2008). Our view of the research corpus will be through narratives, in which we will take an analytical look using the method of Comprehensive-Interpretive Analysis (Souza, 2006, 2014) and with the production of training diaries, in the format of cardboard books, we will use the technique of Discursive Textual Analysis (Moraes, Galliazzi, 2007; 2007). In an eco-training, dialogic and reflective movement of self-(trans)formative circles, we hope to achieve the desired objectives and contribute to new perspectives in the continuing education of teachers.
