Agroecology of ciranda: the collective construction of a campaign on Agroecology in elementary education at Escola José Firmino da Veiga in Paulista -PE
Agroecology. Sustainability. Sustainable Agriculture. Environmental education.
Agroecology plays a key role in the educational context by promoting a more sustainable and conscious approach to food production and the environment. Its importance lies in the possibility of forming critical citizens committed to building fairer, healthier food systems in harmony with nature. The introduction of agroecology in education allows students to understand the impacts of conventional agriculture, which is often based on intensive practices, excessive use of pesticides and degradation of natural resources. By exploring agroecology principles such as crop diversification, responsible use of natural resources and respect for biodiversity, students gain a broader view of food systems and are encouraged to seek sustainable solutions. They are also challenged to think in an integrated way, seeking solutions that consider the social, economic and environmental aspects of food production. In view of this, considering the relevance of the theme for today's society and especially in view of the need to think of a sustainable development model that can guarantee the quality of life of present and future generations, this research aims to analyze the impacts of the collective construction of a campaign on Agroecology at school, with a view to its integration into the contents of Elementary Education at Firmino da Veiga in the city of Paulista-PE.
