QUOTES POLICY FOR RURAL STUDENTS IN HIGHER EDUCATION: the case of the Sousa campus from the Federal Institute of Paraíba

The present work to describe and interpret the implementation of the Quota Policy for children belonging to PRONAF families, settlers of agrarian reform and rural employees in Higher Education at the Federal Institute of Paraíba, campus Sousa, considering the period from 2011 to 2022.Therefore, we intend to carry out a case study, anchored in the historical-organizational perspective, using semi-structured interviews, with the purpose of describe and interpret the IFPB experience from the point of view of quota holders, based on the categories of insertion/adaptation, access, permanence and empowerment in view of the policy of quotas for rural students. At the end of the research, it is intended to elaborate as Final Products, a Peasantry Nucleus in the institution with the aim of strengthening the community, senses of belonging and rural identities, in addition to a proposal for a Resolution that effectively institutes guidelines and norms for the improvement and effectiveness of this necessary affirmative action aimed at the entry of people of the field in undergraduate courses within the scope of the Federal Institute of Paraíba, serving as a model for other FI's in national territory.
