ART AND AGROECOLOGY: THEATER OF THE OPPRESSED, RESISTANCE AND EMPOWERMENT FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF FORUM THEATER

Agroecology consolidates itself as a science that is capable of transforming reality in territories. When we relate this context to art, it is possible to conduct agroecological learning perspectives using artistic language in this process of change. The approximation of art with agroecology can create connections and a new look at the demands and needs of peasant people and contribute to their empowerment. The relationship between art and agroecology is discussed, highlighting the pertinence of enabling actions that integrate peasant territories, reflections are presented on the contributions of the Theater of the Oppressed in the field of resistance and strengthening of agroecology. In this perspective, this qualification project has the general objective of studying the potential of the Theater of the Oppressed to strengthen Agroecology from the perspective of youths in a qualitative approach, bibliographical research and case study within the parameters of content analysis. As a result, it is expected the production of a didactic/pedagogical material for educators dialoguing with the methodology of the theater of the oppressed of Augusto Boal for the strengthening of Agroecology, seeking a significant contribution of the theater for a better knowledge and appreciation of the history, of the agroecological practices and of the culture of the community and the people that integrate it. It is important to contextualize that the research results can be consolidated from the experiences of youths in the territory (Jurema – Estrela de Alagoas, AL), being important for the perspectives, dreams and agroecology of this public.
