Agroecology, Sovereignty and Food and Nutritional Security, Territory, Quilombola Women.

This thesis project aims to investigate, from the description and qualitative interpretation, the memory related to the know-how and practices related to Sovereignty and Food and Nutritional Security from the experiences and life trajectories of the quilombola women of the Jatobá community II. For the development of the study, a qualitative research inspired by action research with an ethnographic approach will be carried out. We will bring together categories such as agroecology, sovereignty and food and nutritional security, ethnic and cultural identity, territory and quilombola ways of life. In this context, a series of discussions opens around the importance of the know-how of Quilombola women, given their role as protagonists in spaces for the promotion and reproduction of Quilombola ways of life, as well as in spaces of struggle for the guarantee of rights. On the other hand, historically, quilombola women and their know-how have been invisible, ignored and silenced. Faced with these contacts, the thesis project turns to the feminist perspective, taking as reference the specificities of black-quilombola women in the sense of bringing the voice of quilombola women in dialogue with agroecology, sovereignty and food and nutritional security.
