PATHS TO SOCIAL ORGANIZATION, PRODUCTION AND MARKET INSERTION: A CASE STUDY OF FAMILY FARMERS IN AGRO-ECOLOGICAL TRANSITION IN AGROECOLOGICAL TRANSITION IN PARIPIRANGA-BA

The process of agroecological transition is complex and requires on the part of the
producer, the awareness that he will face some challenges along this process.
Among the challenges faced, this research will highlight three: management of
agroecosystems, marketing and empowerment of the producer. To this end, the
research aims to evaluate the socioeconomic and productive sustainability of family
farmers who are members of the agroecological fair in the municipality of
Paripiranga. The research will be conducted through a case study, where all the
producers participating in the green fair will be accompanied and the information
collected through participant observation and interviews, to obtain data on production
planning, understanding and application of agroecological principles of production. In
addition to the producers, a sample of 700 consumers will be interviewed, where data
will be collected regarding the quality of the products and their perception of the
importance of producing agroecological food. The data collected will be analyzed
using the statistical software SPSS. The research is expected to identify the level of
understanding of the producers involved regarding the agro-ecological practices and
the management process of the agro-ecological properties. As a product of the
research, a manual will be developed with the objective of helping the processes of
management of agroecosystems and agroecological farms.
