SUMMARY:

The present research intends to study the processes of agroecological transition practiced by the peasant way, especially the Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra (MST) and the Movimento dos Pequenos Agricultores (MPA), from the hypothesis that the agrarian question influences these processes of transition. For this, we will resort to classical and contemporary thinkers and participatory methodologies to address topics such as: agroecology and agroecological transition, agrarian question and territory, and new social movements and Via Campesina. In this work, we will also seek, in an interdisciplinary way, to dialogue with the various dimensions of the researched reality, namely, the territory of Alto Sertão Sergipano, seeking to strengthen the experiences of movements and communities.
