SUMMARY:

The organization of agroecological fairs has been spreading in several Brazilian states. These fairs represent important marketing spaces for family farming families who produce food observing the principles of Agroecology. The Agroecology and Family Farming Territorial Fair (AGROFEIRA) of the Southern Agreste of Pernambuco is one such initiative that takes place in Garanhuns - PE, involving families from three municipalities: Garanhuns, Jupi, Jucati, São João, Bom Conselho and Saloá. This research project seeks to present theories, methods and tools to diagnose and analyze data on the strategies and operations adopted by the AGROFEIRA team, the consumers of the products marketed and the advisory services that accompany the family farmers involved. The objective is to analyze the strategies adopted by family farmers practicing Agroecology in the Southern Agreste of Pernambuco, in terms of social organization, production, processing and commercialization through AGROFEIRA. The methodology will be qualitative, descriptive and exploratory. As a result, we expect the data gathered from the diagnosis and the consolidation of an analysis report. The conclusion of this project will take place before the defense and delivery of the Thesis and the Final Product (technical manual) that will offer subsidies and guidance to families, researchers and public administrators interested in organizing and managing agro-ecological fairs.
