THE INFLUENCE OF EDUTUBERS IN THE PROCESS TEACHING-LEARNING: MENTAL TRIGGER AND MINDSET STRATEGIES

In themidst of ahighly technological societyanddigital natives (Prensky, 2001), Basic Education students recurrently search for instruments that facilitate their learning.Then,Digital InformationandCommunicationTechnologies(TDIC)emerge, whichare technological tools that allow, throughequipment,programsandmedia, communicationbetweenmembersofanetwork, indifferentvirtualenvironments,as postulatedbySoaresetal. (2015).Amongthecountlessdigital toolsistheYouTube videoplatform,with itseducational channels runby teachers, callededutubers,of differentcurricularcomponents.Educationalchannelsarewidelyusedbystudentsin order tomeet their learning needs.When considering this scenario, we set the objectiveof thisdissertationtoanalyzetheclassesonthegrammaticalcontentof the verbtaughtontheYouTubevideoplatformbyedutubers,withtheaimofobserving themental triggerstrategiesusedtoattractbasiceducationstudents.Thisresearch presents bibliographic anddocumentary typologies, usingaqualitativedeductive method. The corpus is composedof the transcriptionof twelvevideo lessonson verbs collected from three channels on the YouTube platform of Portuguese languageedutubers.ThestudywillbebasedonthetheoreticalconceptsofAlmeida (2015);Neves(2000,2020);Tomasello(2003,2010);Cialdini (2021); Dweck(2017); VeenandVrakking(2009);Morán(1995).Thepreliminaryresultsfoundpoint tothe presentation of practices that are not consistent with the current linguistic and pedagogical proposals governed by documents such as the BNCC. It is also observed that we have a collection of superficial digital classes, focused on normative teaching, oftenaimedatmemorizingnomenclaturesand rules inwhich littlecontributes tounderstanding linguisticcomplexity,prioritizingteachingfocused onthefixedmindset tothedetrimentof thegrowthmindset .
