INTERDISCOURSE AND DISCURSIVE EDUCATION: MEMES AND THE “SHITPOST” CULTURE IN THE DISCRIMINATION AND VULGARIZATION OF WOMEN
Internet meme; shitpost; functionalist linguistics; feminism; discrimination.
This work aims to analyze the internet meme in the “shitpost” culture conveyed to antifeminist virtual communities, as a process of discrimination and vulgarization of women. We will study the term “feminazi” used in these communities from the perspective of functionalist linguistics, regarding the assumptions of iconicity. The functionalist approach is based on analyzing grammar as dependent on its concrete use, that is, discourse, according to Martelotta. This study will be developed from a qualitative, descriptive, explanatory and interpretive research, through procedural techniques such as: bibliographic study through books, theses and dissertations to survey and consolidate the theoretical framework, study focusing on the positions and perspectives of the women about feminist studies, in the virtual communities of "shitpost" for deepening and discussion about gender and sexuality.
