SUMMARY:
The semiological study of language or language semiology is the linguistic area that seeks to understand signs, their systems and the process through which the sign goes through to acquire meaning. This work seeks to analyze the academic text from a perspective that combines semiology with the enunciative studies of Émile Benveniste (1988 and 1989), especially with regard to syntagmatization and semantization procedures, in order to understand broader aspects of the written enunciation of introductions of scientific articles. That said, the interest is to understand the way in which these procedures are used in writing introductions to scientific articles in the area of Linguistics and Literature. Although the disciplines in question come from the same branch, they present different disciplinary stances. To this end, articles published in Qualis A1 magazines (CAPES 2013-2016 evaluation four-year period) were collected, among which ten introductions of Linguistics and 10 introductions of Literature were selected to try to observe how it is possible to identify regular and singular movements in the writing of texts of this nature. Benveniste's theoretical perspective (1988 and 1989) was adopted to support the understanding of aspects of the enunciative act (such as the act itself, the situation in which it takes place and the instruments for carrying it out) and the semiotic and semantic planes underlying the organization and production of written text. Writing, therefore, is considered here both from a semiological point of view, as a semiological system subordinate to the interpretive system of the language, according to Benveniste (1989 and 2014), and from the point of view of written enunciation. Thus, to understand the syntagmatization procedures identifiable in the introductions of articles, it is necessary to consider recurring semiotic and semantic aspects in the discursive domain in which these texts are located. The analyzes reveal that, through these observations, it is possible to understand how the speaker-writer of the text signals his positions and discursive engagement using syntagmatizations.
