  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The semiological study of language or language semiology is the linguistic area that seeks to understand signs, their systems and the process through which the sign goes through to acquire meaning. This work seeks to analyze the academic text from a perspective that combines semiology with the enunciative studies of Émile Benveniste (1988 and 1989), especially with regard to syntagmatization and semantization procedures, in order to understand broader aspects of the written enunciation of introductions of scientific articles. That said, the interest is to understand the way in which these procedures are used in writing introductions to scientific articles in the area of Linguistics and Literature. Although the disciplines in question come from the same branch, they present different disciplinary stances. To this end, articles published in Qualis A1 magazines (CAPES 2013-2016 evaluation four-year period) were collected, among which ten introductions of Linguistics and 10 introductions of Literature were selected to try to observe how it is possible to identify regular and singular movements in the writing of texts of this nature. Benveniste's theoretical perspective (1988 and 1989) was adopted to support the understanding of aspects of the enunciative act (such as the act itself, the situation in which it takes place and the instruments for carrying it out) and the semiotic and semantic planes underlying the organization and production of written text. Writing, therefore, is considered here both from a semiological point of view, as a semiological system subordinate to the interpretive system of the language, according to Benveniste (1989 and 2014), and from the point of view of written enunciation. Thus, to understand the syntagmatization procedures identifiable in the introductions of articles, it is necessary to consider recurring semiotic and semantic aspects in the discursive domain in which these texts are located. The analyzes reveal that, through these observations, it is possible to understand how the speaker-writer of the text signals his positions and discursive engagement using syntagmatizations.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This research aims to analyze syntagmatization procedures from a semiological-enunciative perspective in written textual productions. To this end, we undertake a journey through the study of the text from an approach that highlights the possibilities that the text offers to discuss other perspectives, enabling other forms of explorations and discussions, such as the text from the point of view of Textual Linguistics, from Discourse Analysis, Linguistic Pragmatics and the enunciative perspective, based on studies by Koch (1997; 2002), Rodrigues (2012), Van Dijk (2018), Orlandi and Suzy (2015), (Pinto, 2004), Grice (1975/1982), among others. From this perspective, we discuss the enunciative reflection of Benveniste (2020; 2023) and Flores (2013) on language and its implications for approaching the text. The text from an enunciative perspective is taken to analyze semiotic aspects, semiotic organization and at the same time semantic organization, since through the text the subject-writer demonstrates his subjective engagement in the development of written texts, revealing the semiological organization of the text. text and constructing meanings for the construction of the reference. At the semiotic level, the linguistic sign is related to the paradigm of language, in the formal and virtual field of associative relationships, and the greatest aspect of this domain is recognition by speakers. At the semantic level, words actually used and combined in speech take place, the main purpose of which is understanding. In this way, when appropriating the language system, the speaker communicates through writing through sentences and the meaning of the sentence lies in the idea it conveys. This meaning, according to Flores (2013), from a semiotic point of view, works through the mechanism of syntagmatization, that is, through what he calls the agency of words, through the syntactic organization that is possible according to the function that the words use. words exert on each other. Therefore, the sentence in a text can only be organized through syntagmatic agency. The corpus of analysis is composed of texts written on the topic "Challenges for the valorization of communities and traditional peoples in Brazil", produced by candidates who took the National High School Examination (ENEM) test in 2022. The analyzes carried out in this work have a qualitative-interpretative character, through which we seek to discuss how each participant, when putting the language into use, constructs their syntactic uniqueness based on syntagmatization procedures.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • In the landscape of digital culture, literature reveals its multifaceted nature through the expansion of hybrid literary genres that blend multiple languages. The hybrid literary genre, the photopoem, transforms the relationships of authors and readers with contemporary literary expressions in various spaces, including school. The work Et Eu Tu (2003), produced by Arnaldo Antunes, with illustration by Márcia Xavier is an example of this articulation between literary language and photography, combining the verbal and the non-verbal in the production of images and meanings. Therefore, the objective of this research is to investigate the literary genre photopoem in digital literacy practices of teachers in teacher training courses with a focus on inclusion in Basic Education. As specific objectives, we list: 1) To identify the characteristics of the literary genre photopoem, based on the work ET Eu Tu; 2) To evaluate teachers' perceptions about the literary genre photopoem in connection with digital literacy practices; 3) Develop a teacher training project with a view to planning didactic strategies for the inclusion of Basic Education students, based on connections between the literary genre photopoem and digital literacy practices. Regarding the guiding theoretical contribution, the work is based on the dialogued discussions between intersemiosis and photopoems (Santaella, 2014); digital literacies (Dudeney, Hocly and Pegrum, 2016; Coscarelli, 2016) and teacher training (Nóvoa, 2015; Freire, 1997, Tardif, 2002). As for the methodological design, the research is of an applied nature in a Basic Education scenario, with a qualitative approach. We applied a questionnaire and a semi-structured interview with 7 teachers and 1 teacher of the Multifunctional Resource Room of a public school located in the Metropolitan Region of Recife. The data were analyzed according to the criteria of categorization from the semantic point of view to understand the teachers' perception of the photopoem, based on the theoretical support of Bardin (1999). There was a lack of practical and reality-sensitive guidance for the school's teachers. In contrast, in the interactions during the interview, I found a group interested in information, which was discussed with acceptance of the pedagogical practices adopted by the teachers, as they were able to record their reflections in the face of their teaching planning. Finally, it enabled a means of explaining teachers' voices about contemporary challenges and indicated new inclusive didactic possibilities for students of the Specialized Educational Service through photopoems and digital literacies.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The general objective of this research is to analyze the perceptions of undergraduate students enrolled in the Introduction to Libras discipline on Deaf Literature and literary literacy. As for the specific objectives, we list: 1) To study conceptions and characteristics of Deaf Literature; 2) To identify the perceptions of undergraduate students enrolled in the Introduction to Libras discipline on Deaf Literature; 3) To map the literary literacy profile of students in the in-person History Degree Course at UFRPE; and 4) To propose a didactic-pedagogical intervention to approach Deaf Literature in the context of the Introduction to Libras discipline. To support this investigation, we used the approaches of important authors, including: Karnopp (2010); Sutton-Spence (2021); Rosa (2011); Muller (2012); Queiroz (2020); Bosse (2019); Carlos Mourão (2019); Helen Rocha (2022); Mourão (2011, 2016); Klícia Campos (2017); Alencar (2019); Silveira (2015); Rosa (2017), who discuss Deaf Literature, as well as Candido's (1995) contributions on the Right to Literature as an inalienable human right. In addition, we explore Cosson's (2006) approaches to literary literacy. Regarding the methodological design, it is a research applied in the context of the Introduction to Libras discipline at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco/UFRPE, which took place in two academic semesters 2023.1 and 2024.1 of the Bachelor's Degree in History. The study was configured as action research (Thiollent, 1986), with a qualitative approach (Araújo, 2012), considering the stages of didactic planning and pedagogical intervention. We applied two questionnaires in different classes of the Bachelor's Degree in History Course. The first was online, prepared on the Google Forms platform, a semi-structured instrument, composed of closed and open questions, applied to students enrolled in class 2023.1. The second and third stages were carried out in person, with the application of printed questionnaires that contained 5 mixed questions and, then, we carried out a pedagogical intervention with class 2024.1, so that the students produced books of works of Deaf Literature. The content analysis was based on the proposal of Bardin (1977). As a result of the 2023.1 and 2024.1 classes, we observed significant contrasts. In the 2023.1 class, we found that approximately 70.8% of the participants reported having knowledge about Deaf Literature. The 2024.1 class revealed a worrying reality, the vast majority of students are not aware of the existence of this literary world, with only six students showing some familiarity with the topic. We can conclude that the literary literacy profile of the undergraduate students still needs to be improved given the still incipient relationship with literature, especially considering the students' knowledge about deaf literature. The fact that a considerable number of students state that they read literary works, with a moderate frequency, and a low adherence to digital reading, reveals that the literary literacy of these students is largely superficial. In the final stage, dedicated to the practice of book production, we observed that, even with little knowledge about the literary world of the deaf community, the groups were able to achieve the proposed objective.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The work of Portuguese poet Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen is characterized by its fluidity and the presence of striking themes (sea, tradition, memories, etc.), of which the active dialogue with Greek mythology can be highlighted. In her lyrics, Antiquity is recovered in a contemporary face that is present, especially in the books Poesia (1944), Dia do Mar (1947) and Coral (1950). It is true that the Greco-Latin classic is a central element in much of her poetic production, being significant for Portuguese Literature of the 20th century. However, it is not critically commented on in proportion to its importance. Thus, this work highlights the relevance of the classical influence on the author's work and on ancient and modern literature. In this plan, to explore the myth, the mythological elements and their representations, Eliade (2007), Vernant (2006), Monfardini (2005), Lévi-Strauss (2008) and Brandão (2000) were used. In order to bring Sophia's poetic literary production closer to the myth, Ceia (1996), Eliot (1989), Calasso (2004), Scramin (2006) and Zenith (2019) were used. To rescue aspects of the myth in poetry, covering elements that transit between the symbolic and the imaginary, Durand (2000-2012), Cassirer (2001) and Eliade (1992) were used. To elaborate the analysis of the selected poems, the studies of Spitzer (2003) were used, who formulates hypotheses about the transfiguration of myth in poetry, bringing a contemporary perspective from a philological perspective. In addition, the works of Candido (1996), Bosi (1977) and Paz (1982) were also used to support the poetic contextualization. The research also relied on Dos Santos Cunha (2004), Bulfinch (2002), Graves (2018) and the poetic works of Sophia de Mello Breyner to understand the significance of the classic and Greco-Latin culture. To broaden the approach of the studies in Sophia, the author's critical fortune was used, as in Guimarães (2018), Pagoto (2018), Rezende (2006), among others.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The trajectory of female authorship in Brazilian literature is marked by declines and peaks that are closely linked to the history of women in society. From 1960 onwards, narratives that make women the central element of the plot appear in national written production with more scope to present and discuss the female universe from a perspective of breaking the stereotypes socially rigidified by the patriarchal system. Thus, in the context of postmodernity, a group of female writers emerges who are tasked with challenging the country's literary parameters with a view to achieving a reformulation in the framework of Brazilian literary writing. In Bocas de mel e fel (2011), by Nilza Rezende, the protagonist, Irene, mimics the typical woman of contemporary times, in her identity construction and performance, in the face of a romantic relationship, tainted with eroticism, experienced with two men, her cousin, Antônio, and the university professor, Pablo. In this regard, this study has as its main objective: to analyze the representations of the feminine and the faces of love in Bocas de mel e fel (2011). To this end, the research, with a qualitative and theoretical approach, seeks to analyze the text of the aforementioned author based on the principles of Textual Criticism in line with the application of theories based on Cultural Studies, with the aim of carrying out a complete interpretation of the literary text, respecting its artistic character. The theoretical contribution used to support the discussions, about the perspectives of Feminism and Female Authorship in Brazil, brings together authors such as Hooks (2019; 2024); Duarte (2003); Xavier (1996) and Zinani (2011). Furthermore, to address the representations of the feminine in the analyzed text, the conceptual contributions of Kolontai (2009); Teixeira (2009); Zolin (2009) and Hall (2006) and, to support the considerations made about the faces of love in the plot, we used the epistemologies of Paz (1994); Bauman (2004); Costa (1998); Menezes (2007); Oltramari (2009); Almeida and Lomônaco (2018) and Neves (2007). The results pointed out in the analysis of the studied narrative express the identity fragmentation of the character Irene justified by the social context of postmodernity, being possible to classify her as a woman of the transitory type (Cf. Kolontai, 2009). In addition, it was also possible to verify, in this analysis, the presence of two faces of love personified in the subjects with whom the protagonist relates, namely romantic love and confluent love. Notably, between the honey and the bile of the loving relationship is the woman in search of the resignification of her own identity.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The dissertation presented here, Graffiti in men's bathrooms: discourses on representations of gender and sexuality in schools, focuses on the textual productions of a cis-heteronormative nature present in the men's bathrooms of public and reference high schools (EREM) discursive mechanisms that make up the latrine discourse. As a general objective, we set out to identify the means by which gender differences are negotiated and reaffirmed through latrine graffiti, excluding subjects with dissident sexual orientation and, to this end, we make use of the interdisciplinary theories of Cultural Studies, Linguistics, Queer Theories and French Discourse Analysis. As specific objectives, we sought to analyze the discursive mechanisms used by the (re)producers of discourses of sexual violence against homosexuals and women, therefore, we verified the use of normative discourse in the dynamics that provide power and exclusion. Through research, we verified a cultural and disruptive use, in the sense of breaking with the traditional use, of the men's bathroom; such use can perpetuate gender differences, while enabling privacy, through its heterotopia (Foucault, 2013) and its characteristics of “non-place” (Augé, 1999), being subjected by – and subverting – the school, as an ideological apparatus of the state (Althusser, 1985). In this way, gender differences and the exclusion of dissident orientations are made through graffiti and the use of phallocentric and cis-heteronormative discursive contents (Butler, 2018; Foucault, 1988, Moita Lopes, 2002), reproducing male domination (Bourdieau, 2012). Therefore, through discursive analysis (Maingueneau, 1997, 2004, 2008, 2020; Orlandi, 1987, 2001, 2007, 2013; Amossy, 2011, Magalhães and Cavalcante, 2007), we verified the existence of discourses of violence against dissident sexualities, in the order of phallocentrism and cis-heteronormativity, which are characterized by the use of verbal and non-verbal elements, which corroborate and maintain male hegemony, while contributing to violence against LGBTs and women in spaces.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The main objective of the research is to investigate the possible influence of mental triggers on jurors' decision-making in three jury hearings. Specifically, the objective is to identify and describe the most recurrent mental triggers, especially in the oral presentation phase of the hearing, as well as to observe, based on the sub-principle of linear ordering, whether the choice of the arrangement of certain information in the syntactic chain can be used as an argumentative guide. This study presents a typology of bibliographic and documentary research, qualitative and quantitative method and deductive reasoning resulting from an analytical approach to the data. Based on the assumption that, according to Lima (2006, p. 244), “the jury's decision is not only the result of information, but, above all, of persuasion”, we have the following research problem: How could mental triggers, as persuasive resources, influence the decision-making of jurors in a popular jury? The corpus is made up of the transcription of excerpts from three jury court hearings – a body of the Judiciary responsible for judging intentional crimes against life, when there is an intention to kill – one of which was accessed by the documentary Elize Matsunaga: Once upon a time, a crime. The research is inserted in the theoretical scope of Cognitive and Functional Linguistics and is mainly based on the following authors: Aristotle (2011 [384-322 BC]); Givón (2001); Lima-Hernandes (2006); Cialdini (2009, 2012 [2021]); Damásio (2011); Perelman and Olbrechts-Tyteca (2014); Furtado da Cunha and Tavares (2016); Divine (2020). The results point to the fact that mental triggers, especially authority, sympathy and commitment and coherence, as well as changes in linear ordering can be used efficiently as resources to influence decision making.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 was a milestone for the transition from classes that were previously only taught in person. During this period, Emergency Remote Education (ERE) emerged as a quick alternative to the global situation that soon proved to be extensive. However, Online Education (Santos, 2005) was already known, commonly used by colleges and universities, but was not adopted due to the short time available for training professionals. Faced with these realities, some education professionals, involved in different teaching models, found ways to virtually share knowledge on platforms that are well-known and constantly accessed by students, such as YouTube. Therefore, the general objective of this research is to analyze the semantics of the literature teacher's actions on the YouTube digital platform, with a view to supporting Open Literary Education in cyberculture. We take as a basis Machado’s (2007) statement that presents teaching as a situated, personal, unique, prefigured, interactional, interpersonal, transpersonal, conflictual activity and a source of learning new knowledge, in addition to presenting, in its discursive action, “a linguistically organized message that tends to produce an effect of coherence on the recipient” (Bronckart, 2012, p. 71). This message, then, carries semantics specific to the subject of the action, expressing his/her action through discourse. Thus, our corpus is formed by excerpts from the discourses used by a literature teacher in his/her video class on the YouTube digital platform. We adopted the following specific objectives: 1. To analyze the video class on YouTube as a genre that promotes Open Literary Education; 2. To identify how the semantics of the action of a literature teacher who works on YouTube is presented, publishing content specifically about literature and literary works aimed at college entrance exams; 3. Propose didactic-pedagogical alternatives that highlight YouTube as a digital platform aimed at Open Literary Education. Therefore, this is an exploratory qualitative-interpretative research, as it sees reality with a range of meanings and seeks to understand this point based on bibliographical studies and interpretations (Minayo, 2009). The study is based on the methodology proposed by Sociodiscursive Interactionism (ISD) by Bronckart (2004), Machado and Bronckart (2009), and on the teaching work of Clot (2007), analyzing the discourse of the literature teacher on YouTube. Finally, we hope to find in the discourse of the acting teacher a type of interactive discourse, in which he reveals his subjectivity explicitly, in the same way that the theoretical discourse, the object of the teacher, deals with theoretical and assertive questions about the theme of his class. Furthermore, we believe we find enunciative marks and predicative relations that reveal a discursive suitability for the digital platform, which dialogues - indirectly - with the recipients of the message, the viewers.

KEYWORDS: Semantics of action; Open Literary Education; Cyberculture; YouTube platform.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Cinema is established as a prominent art form, warranting attention from literary studies in the relationship between the literary and the cinematographic. Increasingly, their constitutive elements are interconnected, whether in plot or style. From the perspective of the intersection between these two languages, this study focuses on three literary works: Carne Viva (1987), Tarântula (1984), and A Voz Humana (1930), which inspired Carne Trêmula (1997), A Pele Que Habito (2011), and A Voz Humana (2020), respectively, films by Pedro Almodóvar Caballero. The artistic career of this Spanish filmmaker is characterized by representations of desire, femininity and her connection to the body depicted in a unique way. This work proposes to analyze the female literary characters adapted for cinema, describing the construction of the female image and its artistic representation in a new interpretation by a filmmaker whose themes and style are already established in the history of cinema. This study will examine the representation of women in contemporary cinema and, specifically, in Almodóvar's cinema, focusing mainly on the film adaptations of the aforementioned literary works. The theoretical argument is based on the reading of Roman Jakobson (1975), Julio Plaza (2003), Charles Sanders Peirce (1974; 1977), Linda Hutcheon (2013) and Robert Stam (2006). The elements guiding the transformation of the female figure from the literary to the cinematographic plane and the director's relationship with aesthetics will be addressed. In the study of the female characters adapted by the director, the treatment of the body and various sexualities (female, male, trans), the filmmaker’s stylistic traits in transferring literary female characters to the seventh art, and the impact of the cinema on the adaptation of these works will be described, analyzing both similarities and differences in the construction of the female image in the mentioned films.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This research is anchored in two main areas: Generative Linguistics and the teaching-learning of French as a Foreign Language (FLE). She starts from the observation that some grammatical compendia and teaching materials (such as Pedagogical Grammars and Textbooks) do not tend to adequately address some French orality phenomena, such as null subjects and null objects, which are increasingly recurrent in contemporary French. As a general objective, we seek to investigate the manifestation of null arguments (null subjects and null objects) within the scope of FLE teaching-learning. As specific objectives, we seek to (a) identify how the parameters of the Null Subject and Null Object are described in contemporary French, (b) verify how the teaching of these linguistic phenomena has been carried out based on the Common European Framework of Reference for languages (CEFR) and their reflections in grammatical compendia and FLE textbooks and (c) contribute to the empirical basis of these parameters with the collection and quantitative-qualitative analysis of a corpus composed of excerpts from FLE Textbooks and French Pedagogical Grammars, containing sentence structures composed of null subjects and null objects. Therefore, this research serves as a combination of the quantitative approach and the qualitative approach. Methodologically, the following steps were adopted: (a) the elaboration of data selection criteria, (b) the constitution of a corpus, (c) the analysis of frequency of the linguistic phenomena studied and (d) the critical comparison of results obtained. As results obtained, it is observed that French is not a typical language of null subjects, but it is possible to verify the phonetic omission of the expletive pronoun il, especially in oral contexts. Leeman (2006) argues that the phonetic omission of subjects in French is rare, but there is no doubt that the subject may be omitted in this language and that, therefore, this phenomenon must be described in grammars. As for the Null Object Parameter, it is observed with Cummins and Roberge (2005) that there are five distinct types of null objects in French contemporary: (a) Null Objects recovered by clitics, (b) Null Objects without visible clitics, (c) Generic or stereotypical Null Objects, (d) Null Objects contextual and (e) deictic Null Objects. The CEFR, in turn, has limitations methodologies and a lack of detail in the categorization of the component grammatical, making foreign language teaching and learning unfeasible emerging linguistic phenomena. With regard to the presence of Subjects Nulls in the LDs analyzed, despite presenting compound sentence structures of null subjects, in the book Édito C1 – Méthode de Français (Les Éditions Didier, 2018) there are no activities or explanations about this linguistic phenomenon in no didactic units; already in Défi C1 – Méthode de Français (Éditions Maison des Langues, 2021), a small explanatory table brings together information about informal records, mentioning the omission of the pronoun il, but without delving into the phenomenon. Regarding the presence of Null Objects in the analyzed LDs, it appears that there are no sections (nor activities) dedicated to the study of the omission of objects in French in none of the textbooks analyzed. Regarding the analysis carried out in pedagogical grammars, it is observed that they fail to present adequately the phonetic omission of subjects and objects in French.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Considering that we are part of a highly technological society with digital natives (Prensky, 2001), basic education students usually use instruments that facilitate their learning. For this purpose, they use Digital Information and Communication Technologies, which are technological tools that allow, through equipment, programs and media, communication between members of a network, in different virtual environments, as postulated by Soares et al. (2015). Among the countless digital tools is the YouTube video platform, which provides a new way of obtaining knowledge, which Santaella calls ubiquitous learning. Managed by teachers, called edutubers, from different curricular components, the channels are widely used by students, in order to meet their learning needs. When considering this scenario, we set the objective of this research to analyze the video classes on the grammatical content of the verb taught by edutubers of the Portuguese Language curricular component who have a significant number of followers on the YouTube video platform, with the aim of observing the edutubers' conceptions of language and grammar, the mental trigger strategies used by them and what type of mindset they activate in basic education students. This research presents bibliographic, documentary and applied typologies, using a qualitative method. The corpus is composed of the transcription of twelve video lessons on verbs collected from three YouTube channels. The study is based on the theoretical concepts of Prensky (2001), Veen and Vrakking (2009), SIlva Junior (2017), Santaella (2010; 20114), Almeida (2015) etc., with regard to digital culture and the use of TDIC as educational resources. To theorize about linguistic studies, we resort to the voices of Givón (1995), Castilho (2014), Cunha and Tavares (2016), Neves (2000, 2020, 2022, 2024), among other luminaries. With regard to the topic of cognition, Bertoque (2018), Mithen (2002) and Tomasello (2003, 2010). Through the voice of Cialdini (2021) we will discuss mental triggers. Finally, to address Mindset, we will present Dweck (2017). The results found point to the presentation of practices that do not match the current linguistic and pedagogical proposals governed by documents such as the National Common Curricular Base (Brazil, 2018). It is also observed that we have a collection of superficial digital classes, aimed at normative teaching of the Portuguese language, often aimed at memorizing nomenclatures and rules in which it contributes little to the understanding of linguistic complexity, prioritizing teaching focused on the fixed mindset to the detriment of the students' growth mindset. Regarding the results regarding the mental strategies used by edutubers, we found that they activate at least 6 (six) triggers: authority, affection, social approval, reciprocity, commitment and coherence and scarcity.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • In most of Valter Hugo Mãe's fictional works, the theme of the feminine is present and is often associated with a vision of the negative condition of “being a woman”. In addition, the representation of the female condition in his works is closely linked to pain and suffering, proposing various appearances of women from an often macho family and religious environment. Based on this, the current research aims to investigate how the representation of women in the work o remorso de baltazar serapião [2006]/(2018) presents the set of challenges, issues and specific difficulties that women face in different contexts, be they social, historical or cultural, in order to highlight the author's critical position on the condition of women, loaded with negative and pessimistic symbolism from a scenario marked by barbarism and allegorical to the Middle Ages. To do this, we investigated the debates about being female and focused on the representation of female characters based on their stereotypes, as well as the narrative resources and strategies in the presentation of the plot, paying attention to the symbolism that Mãe's writing elaborates to criticize views that still remain about the different experiences of “being a woman”. In our discussions, in order to understand the inseparable relationship between space and time, we worked with the concept of chronotopia by Michael Bakhtin (2014) and heterotopia by Michael Foucault (2013). On the subject of the status of women, this theoretical framework includes studies by Pierre Bourdieu (2024), Michelle Perrot (2005), George Duby (2011) and Duby and Perrot (1994). In order to discuss the representation of women, we relied on the theoretical contributions firstly of Stuart Hall (2016) with the concept of stereotyping and then Duby and Perrot (1994) and José Rivair Macedo (2002), among other authors. In order to deal with Valter Hugo Mãe's writing, which in its own textual weaving is in agreement with the representation of the female subject, we brought to the theoretical scope the studies on the work of authors Maria de Lourdes Pereira (2016), Isabel Cristina Mateus (2016) and Rafaella Teotônio (2016). In the end, our proposal is to reveal, from the novel studied, that the writer lays bare and seeks in literature a review that aims to trace the mechanisms of patriarchal domination responsible for subjugating and oppressing women. In view of this, proposing a debate on Valter Hugo Mãe's male perspective is justified as it seeks to understand women from the perspective of male writing, which configures a past where literature by men about women has always prevailed.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This work consists of an investigation into the concept of reality in fantastic literature, based on the analysis of ten short stories by Murilo Rubião, published in a collection that gathers all of the writer's stories: Murilo Rubião – Complete Works (2010). Additionally, we examine how the author constructs fictional reality and the strategies used to manipulate verisimilitude and ensure the fantastic nature of his work. To do so, we start with the concept of reality as something no longer immutable but socially constructed and subject to changes in historical context – something that resonates not only in common sense judgments about what constitutes reality but also in society’s conception of the fantastic. In light of this, we organize the study into three chapters: 1) Rubião and the Theories of the Uncanny and the Fantastic: on Rubião's place in Brazilian literature and the characteristics of his work that link it to theories of the fantastic, particularly contemporary fantastic literature. 2) Mimesis and Conflicts with the Fantastic: deals with the problematization of the term realism in fantastic fiction, as well as causality and the construction of logic in fantastic discourse. 3) The Fantastic Reality in Rubião’s Narratives: dedicated to the analysis of the short stories selected for this study, namely: “A fila”, “a diáspora”, “Botão de rosa”, “Os dragões”, “O edifício”. To support the discussions, it was important to seek backing from scholars who theorize about mimesis, verisimilitude, and fantastic fiction. Among them are Remo Ceserani (2024), Rosalba Campra (2008), David Roas (2014), Jaime Alazraki (1990), and Luiz Costa Lima (1980). Rubião’s narratives suggest a new way of conceiving reality, and, unlike the theory organized by Todorov (1980), which characterizes the fantastic through fear, horror, and the reader's uncertainty, Rubião’s fiction is much closer to the perplexity or unease provoked by the uncanny situations narrated – as defended by Alazraki (1990) in his concept of the neo-fantastic. The observation that everyday life is often permeated by a range of strange, absurd, and unsettling situations leads us to believe that the fantastic can be as real as the very reality it seeks to subvert. Thus, the concept of reality becomes more complex, as the rational and irrational coexist. The supernatural event demonstrates the abnormality of the real world.

  • Phraseologisms, understood as fixed expressions of common use, play a fundamental role in popular communication and reflect the values, beliefs, and traditions of a given social group. This dissertation's main objective is to build an example through the study of phraseological units present in Ariano Suassuna's stories on the digital platform YouTube. This research classifies the phraseological units found in the corpus, thus contributing to the studies of Phraseology following Mejri's theoretical proposal and disseminating the Northeastern culture through Suassuna's stories, who always defended cultural appreciation. The theoretical discussion is based on Silva and Isquerdo (2020), Paim (2018), Monteiro-Plantin (2017), Mejri (1997; 2012), Marcuschi (2007), Bakhtin (2003), Barbosa (2001) and Biderman (1998). The methodology adopted consists of reading and analyzing a selection of the author's stories, identifying and categorizing the phraseological units used, in addition to exploring their meaning and function in the context of the narrative. The sample consists of 44 phraseological units, which were organized in alphabetical order. The study highlights Suassuna's linguistic richness, highlighting his contribution to Brazilian literature, while valuing orality and popular experience as central elements of his work. The dissertation also seeks to contribute culturally to the preservation and dissemination of Northeastern culture in the national literary scene.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Black identity is socially seen as a bodily marker of inferiority. In light of this, this research analyzes the valorization and re-signification of black cultural identity in the Brazilian media, focusing on the film “M-8: Quando a Morte Socorre a Vida”, directed by Jeferson De. In a context of scant positive representation of blackness and strong commercialization of black aesthetics, the main objective of this work is to analyze how black cultural identities are represented in the media, with an emphasis on productions from black perspectives. Based on Critical Discourse Analysis, according to Fairclough (2016), the research considers the relevance of approaches that decentralize the white narrative and incorporate black perspectives, observing the filmmaker's verbal and visual strategies that redefine representations of black culture. Using a qualitative methodology anchored in multimodality, based on Minayo (2007) and Kress and van Leeuwen (2001), the aesthetic and discursive choices that promote black (re)existence and confront limiting social stereotypes are analyzed. Thus, this research proposes a critical reading of normative discourses, contributing to the creation of a cultural memory that legitimizes and values black identities, highlighting the challenges and potentialities that emerge in black productions. By examining how these narratives impact the construction of a postmodern and collective identity, the study highlights the importance of black discourse in overcoming stereotypes and in the struggle for social and cultural emancipation, offering new perspectives on black histories and subjectivities in Brazil.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This study aims to investigate how grammatical gender reversal affects the construction of identity, gender, and belonging of gay men to the LGBTQIAPN+ community, based on a sociodiscursive approach. It is assumed that language, understood as a social practice (FAIRCLOUGH, 2001), is one of the main instruments for the constitution of subjects, serving not only as a means of communication, but as a mechanism for the construction of meanings, identities, and power relations. From this perspective, the concept of gender performativity proposed by Butler (2003; 2014) is also considered, according to which gender is not a fixed essence, but an identity socially constructed through reiterative and discursive acts. In the context of the LGBTQIAPN+ community, we observe the emergence of linguistic practices that challenge the binary structure of grammatical gender present in the standard norm of the Portuguese language. Among these practices, grammatical gender reversal stands out, understood as the use of the grammatical feminine form — for example, the definite article “a” — before masculine proper nouns, as well as the adoption of terms traditionally associated with the feminine to designate subjects who socially identify as men. These practices, although apparently disconnected from the formal norm, reveal a profound redefinition of identity and sociocultural meaning. This study, therefore, seeks to understand how such linguistic strategies function as forms of symbolic resistance and identity affirmation, allowing subjects to construct a discursive sense of belonging within the diversity of experiences that make up the LGBTQIAPN+ community. Through the analysis of statements that employ grammatical gender reversal, the aim is to highlight how social factors, such as sexual orientation, gender identity, and cultural practices, intersect in the linguistic production of speakers. It is concluded that language not only reflects social reality, but also transforms it, being fundamental for the expression of dissident identities and for the construction of a more inclusive society that represents the multiple forms of human existence.

  • This literary work has within its scope study the representation of abjection literature, as well as a critical reading on the romance “O filho de mil homens” (2016), by Valter Hugo Mãe, in the pretense of analyzing the themes related to the body of the literary work. Therefore, I premise myself on the esthetic of abjection, established by the purports of Judith Butler (2016a; 2016b), Julia Kristeva (1980) e Márcio Seligman-Silva (2005; 2008), to comprehend how the character of Antonino is dehumanized on the literary work of Mãe, which leds to the questioning of the human condition itself, founded on, moreover, to the esthetic of cruelty, based on Antonin Artaud (2006), Clément Rosset (2002) and Renato Gomes (2004), on the perspective of understanding how the cruelty expressed on the prose isn’t as only by true “bloodshed”. I infer, as well, the aspects regarding to the chronostope – spatiality and temporality – based on the theoric-critical presupposition of Beth Brait (2010), Cristóvão Tezza (2003), Gaston Bachelard (1974) and Mikhail Bakhtin (1922, 1993) and how the inter-relationship between space and time occurs on the fictional status on the valterian prose whilst pivotal elements and fundaments to the ‘suture’ of the literary and theoric work.

  • We seek to bring Linguistics closer to Literature through the analysis of the literary work Os Diários de Tulio Carella (2010) with Benveniste's Theory of enunciation as its scope. Therefore, in the first part we discuss based on the Theory of enunciation. Each text by Benveniste has the purpose and fulfills a social function and we seek to characterize a theory of language in Benveniste through the triad of man, language and culture, as this triad enables and mobilizes analyzes in language. In the second part, we see that literature manifests itself as language and Benveniste establishes a possibility of thinking beyond Saussurian writing and, in this way, problematizes language based on literature. In the third part, we seek to understand the eight chapters of Carella's diary through Benvenist's theory of enunciation and Tulio's diaries. Therefore, the subject of the enunciation circulates in the category of the foreigner as a strange category that was not a literary fiction, on the contrary, it came from the experience itself for literary fiction. We see a tangle of Literature and Linguistics when scrutinizing the self-referential elements of the text. Finally, in the last part, we address the self-referential elements in this literary text, we take into account that the narrator assumes the first person and thus acquires a new perspective, and sometimes the narrator's stream of consciousness is interrupted with the third person to intensify the narrator’s distance from the scene. This intriguing fact will guide the debate developed here.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • At this point, we aim at the intersection between the literacies and the Theory of Enunciation which, according to Oliveira (2016) are studies that address the presence of man in language and offer bases for reflecting on objects as literacy and also, according to Lea and Street (1998), literacy concerns the reading and writing skills and the relationships that are established by individuals in social interactions, thus, literacy is seen as a social practice. In this way, literacy and enunciation constitute processes of appropriation and, in this sense, to understand the elements involved in this process, it is necessary to understand the insertion of student speakers in literate spheres, their contact with genres, the ways in which referential categories and the discursive engagement of these student speakers in the mobilization of written productions. The present study interrelates Enunciation and Literacy, and, to Therefore, in order to explore an enunciative perspective for teaching writing, we use as a theoretical basis the text Formal Apparatus of Enunciation. To do this, firstly, we present the theoretical framework, especially the concepts that supported the relationship between enunciation, literacy and teaching of writing, trying to establish the main points of reflection and convergence, then we address the interface between enunciation and literacy and, Finally, we analyzed the students' textual productions.

  • This dissertation addresses the investigation of the teaching profile, linked to the assumptions of Émile Benveniste's statement (1988 and 1989) and Yves Schwartz's ergology (1996, 1998, 2006) and presents considerations about aspects that are constitutive of teaching activity in higher education , based on the interface between enunciation and ergology. In this sense, our aim is to understand how teachers appropriate the knowledge necessary for their professional practice and how they establish subjective singularity in the exercise of teaching. Naturally, there are a series of questions involved in this formulation, because, depending on the approach adopted and the angle from which one decides to observe, the answers can follow different directions. The objective of our study is to understand the establishment of work experience in the enunciative act of higher education teachers and, to this end, we will use the method called meaning cores to reflect on the teaching characterization linked to enunciative and ergological studies. Characterizing the subject analyzed in the research means understanding that there are many subjects: teachers carrying out their work activity, who have different sociocultural and historical levels. Thus, understanding that the aforementioned factors contribute not only to the production of their speeches, but also, in the construction and transformation of this subject, the (re)construction through the constitution of a self that is crossed by its cultural, economic, historical and social context , subjects who reflect, act and are in and through language and who (re)construct reality with the world.

  • The present work aims to investigate the textual criterion of referencing in profiles that deal with dissident masculinities in the dating app Grindr. In order to build an interdisciplinary debate on the subject in focus, two theoretical strands support this study: Textual Linguistics (CAVALCANTE; BRITO, 2022; CAVALCANTE; MARTINS, 2020; CUSTÓDIO FILHO, 2011) and Applied Linguistics (Trans)viada, being This is my proposition in the sense of dialogue between authors of Applied Linguistics (MOITA LOPES, 2022; FABRÍCIO, 2006; RAJAGOPALAN, 2006) and what I have called (Trans)viated Theories linked to gender and sexuality (BAGAGLI, 2013; BORBA, 2020; SANTOS FILHO, 2021; VERGUEIRO, 2020). Of a qualitative and interpretative nature, the analysis carried out consists of 50 prints, collected between 2019 and 2022, of user profiles of the Grindr application, a digital platform whose purpose is sexual and/or affective relationships, mainly between men who relate to other men. The specific objectives are, respectively, a) to identify which referents and referential networks are more recurrent in the analyzed profiles; b) compare the referential networks of profiles that deal with common referents; c) recognize possible effects of meaning arising from the linguistic resources used in the representation of dissident masculinities. In terms of results, it was possible to observe that referents linked to effeminate gays are continually introduced and resumed through derogatory recategorizations, in order to delegitimize their masculinities as if they were insufficient, based on categories such as stereotype, assumption and denial, within what it is socially understood as “being a man”. Added to this is the fact that the referents effeminate, fat and old are the most abjectified, respectively, within the construction of the profiles. On the other hand, referents related to expressions such as “male” and “confidential” are constructed and required as a way of validating performances assessed as natural and adequate. It is possible to conclude, therefore, the need to horizontalize the notions of gender and sexuality in order to overcome the verticalization that ratifies some performances as correct while invalidating and abjectifying others seen as inferior for not reproducing certain standards. Furthermore, it is important to understand the linguistic mechanisms of afeminophobia in order to dismantle and subvert discourses of a prejudiced nature.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Maria Firmina dos Reis has a diverse work in literary genres, however, her prose texts have the particularity of criticizing the social conditions that were imposed on identities different from those of the white man holding power. Therefore, the research has the general objective of analyzing the representations of cultural identities in the works “Gupeva” and “A escrava”, which were published in newspapers in the 19th century. This research corpus is made up of the versions of the serial novel “Gupeva”, which circulated in the periodicals O Jardim das Maranhenses (1861), Porto Livre (1863) and Eco da Juventude (1865) and the short story “A escrava”, which was published in Revista Maranhense (1887). To this end, the following specific objectives were adopted: a) map the publications of the narratives “Gupeva” and “A escrava” in 19th century periodicals; b) describe the editorial board of the newspapers in which such texts were published; c) examine the identities of the indigenous and white characters represented in “Gupeva” and d) analyze the representations of black, brown and white people in the short story “A escrava”. Therefore, this is a bibliographical and documentary research, which was carried out based on a dialogue between the theories of Cultural History and Cultural Studies, mainly to understand the concepts of Representation (Chartier, 2009; Hall, 2016) and of Identity (Hall, 2006, 2014; Woodward, 2014; Silva, 2014). That said, throughout the investigation the following categories will be analyzed: a) Black (Nascimento, 2021; Gonzalez, 2018; Souza, 2021; Fanon, 2020) based on an understanding of black not only as a physical body, but also in terms sociopsychological; b) Indigenous (Gonzaga, 2022; Potiguara, 2019; Krenak, 2020, 2022), considering what it means to be indigenous and the processes of colonial violence; c) Pardo (Schwarcz, 2012, Ribeiro, 2006; Carneiro, 2011) in order to understand the position and treatment towards people who were not seen as white or black, due to the miscegenation in the Brazilian constitution and d) Whiteness, (Bento , 2022; Schucman, 2014) to understand how power relations were constructed between white, black and indigenous people over the centuries. The results of the analysis demonstrate that the literature produced by Maria Firmina dos Reis not only entertained the reading public of the 19th century, but was also interested in denouncing the current slavery system, as well as highlighting the power relations that were established between peoples of origin, gender and ethnicity, even though, at times, the author reinforced certain stereotypes that also circulated in the literary works of her contemporaries.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This work approaches self-reference from a semiological-enunciative perspective with the aim of analyzing the character Paulo Honório, protagonist of the novel São Bernardo, by Graciliano Ramos. The general objective is to analyze how self-reference can be essential to understanding this literary character, verifying how this directly interferes with the narrative discourse. The investigation starts with the questions: How is self-reference played in the construction of the subjectivity of Paulo Honório, narrator-character of São Bernardo? Through self-referential strategies, can it be said that the narrator exerts influence over the narrative, thus manipulating the other characters? To reach answers to these concerns, it is essential to recognize that this study is based on the theoretical concepts of Benveniste (1958/1989) and on the most recent research on the author, such as the writings of Flores (2013/2019), Flores and Teixeira (2013 ), Ferreira Júnior (2014) and Laplantine (2008) in the field of Enunciation. Furthermore, we seek to analyze the work "São Bernardo" in light of the ideas of Antonio Candido (2006), a renowned author who approached the work in a set of essays called fiction and confession. As part of our study, we chose to carry out bibliographical research that aims to provide theoretical basis, focusing on Émile Benveniste's theory of enunciation, for a better understanding of the novel São Bernardo, written by Graciliano Ramos. Next, we will analyze the corpus, highlighting the self-reference and semiological aspects present in the work. These steps were guided by the ideas of Fonseca (2002), which were fundamental for the selection and organization of the study material. Therefore, the aim is to demonstrate with the analyzes undertaken, how linguistic studies, especially those that concern self-reference, can serve as a basis for compressing an enigmatic character, who is considered one of the most significant in Brazilian literature, not only because of the complexity of its construction, but also because of the role it plays in the social criticism present in "São Bernardo".

  • This research seeks to analyze linguistic constructions topicalized in the introduction paragraphs in dissertation-argumentative texts. From this analysis, it is verified how the candidate shares the space of joint attention (EAC) with the reader when writing the National High School Exam (Enem). To do this, we sought to identify which patterns are most recurrent, based on the linguistic constructions present in the first topical period of the introductory paragraphs of the essays analyzed. To resolve the research questions, as well as to fulfill the objectives, we based this research on studies on Text Linguistics and Cognition, based on studies by Tomasello (2003), Koch (2009), Marcuschi (2016), Travaglia ( 2009), Vicente (2014), Cunha (2016), Thompson; Couper-Kuhlen (2005) and Givón (1995). Associated with Functionalist studies based on Defendi (2013), Lima-Hernandes (2010), Martellota (2006), Neves (2002, 2003). Taking the work of these researchers as a theoretical basis and considering the canonical structure of the argumentative dissertation, we began to investigate 55 essays collected. The essays analyzed had a qualitative treatment, 4 most recurrent patterns were identified: citation; verification; declaration and enumeration. In this study, we approach text teaching based on the way it is presented by the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC). We verified how the Textbook (LD) addresses and guides the teaching of textual production in High School (EM), its use as a subsidy for the students' teaching-learning process, in addition, we showed that despite so many technological and educational advances, LDs continue to be seen as an instrument of great importance in the school context. If on the one hand it is an important teaching instrument, on the other hand, we identify that the textbook is not always able to fulfill and contribute effectively to student learning, for this reason it is important that the teacher considers the textbook as an instrument in the classroom, however, not as the only methodological support for teaching.

The work "Casa de Alvenaria" (1961), by Carolina Maria de Jesus, deals with the author's social rise after the success of her previous book, "Quarto de Despejo" (1960). The writer recounts her daily life, exposing the bourgeois hypocrisy of the city of São Paulo and the racial and gender discrimination she suffers for being a black woman from the periphery. The author narrates her day-to-day life through a diary, which became a literary genre after various studies and discussions during the 19th century, with the valuable help of literary critics. This paper will therefore investigate the diary as a literary genre, looking at its historical context as a text that reports (and denounces) social reality. At the same time, the research will address the phenomena of dialogism and polyphony, based on the thinker and philosopher of language Mikhail Bakhtin. These concepts are responsible for involving a plurality of voices and social representations. That said, the central aim of this dissertation is to analyze the constitution of dialogic and polyphonic elements in the work "Casa de Alvenaria", taking into account the characteristics of the diary genre in the relationship between literature and society. In addition, it will also problematize the invisibility of the black female voice in elementary school classrooms, coming up with an idea for a didactic sequence that strengthens feminist, anti-racist and dialogical literary education. To do this, the bibliographical research method was used, following the stages of Tozoni-Reis (2009): research design, bibliographical review, data collection, data organization, data analysis and interpretation and final writing. Therefore, the results of this dissertation highlight that Carolina Maria de Jesus saw the diary as an opportunity to present real and direct accounts due to the polyphonic and dialogic characteristics of the genre.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The objective of this research is to reflect on the images that are constructed by teachers of a federal institute of education, science and technology about English language (EL) teaching in professional education. Through the collected images, that I call representations, I analyze the effects of meaning that are displaced in the teaching-learning of the foreign language (FL) and/or the mother tongue (MT), considering the conditions of discourse production from the positions that are assumed by teachers. For this, I discuss some concepts from the Applied Linguistics (AL) and Franco-Brazilian Discourse Analysis, in interface with Lacanian Psychoanalysis, through an interweaving between the teacher's discourse about the language taught, his learning of that language, their pedagogical practice and their sayings about the practice. As a theoretical interface to reflect on representations, we turn to Cultural Studies dealing with a non-fixed, fragmented, unfinished identity (Woodward, 2000; Hall, 2000), which can be modified depending on the need and the moment, since it, the identity, is always in a constant process of (re)construction. Thus, we seek to investigate, interpret and analyze the representations that arise in the subjectivation process of EL teachers, in order to capture moments of identification (Nasio, 1995; Neves, 2002; Coracini, 2003, 2007). This research is of a qualitative-interpretative nature and its corpus was formed through testimonials from teachers about their teaching practice and their learning of LI. To capture the images built around these languages, we used, as categories of analysis, the heterogeneity shown (Authier, 1998, 2004) and the discursive resonances (Serrani-Infanti, [1998] 2007), the said and the unsaid ( Orlandi, 2004). The analyzed excerpts were based mainly on studies by Coracini (1981, 1995, 2000, 2003, 2007), Lacan (1958, 1960, 1966), Loures (2007, 2011, 2014), Neves (2002, 2006, 2008, 2009), Pêcheux ([1975] 1988), Orlandi ([1999] 2009) among others.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This research aims to verify how the linguistic phenomena like and kind of are used from the perspective of synchrony and diachrony, the uses allow the grammaticalization route of languages, presenting change over time, the result of internal and external motivations of the speakers and which constitute functional slippages of the analyzed items. And so, to support our analysis of the forms, I highlight the samples produced by speakers, woven into the documentary The Last Dance, and how these constitute the outline of orality in English as an additional language. In order to substantiate our analysis, we followed the functionalist theoretical approach, of a qualitative-quantitative nature, which is characterized by a focus on the quantity and interpretation of data, and in which, through the natural observation of events, the researcher reflects on the observed facts. The research instrument for the documentary is Content Analysis (CA) defended by Herring (2010) which explains how to analyze web content step by step. The stratifications present types that correspond to definitions already consolidated in the dictionary, and others present the incorporation of new linguistic forms/functions by individuals. Thus, we seek to highlight how the forms kind of and like are worked on, verifying whether there is a categorical stigmatization of these constructions or whether we are simply seeking a grammatical definition. To do this, we seek to identify the meanings recorded in dictionaries, in effect we show that much of what happened in the past has repercussions on interaction processes, and how the occurrence of these phenomena are strictly linked to the characteristics of the class event, specifically, traditional grammar in English (IL), therefore, given a personal didactic concern, it was considered relevant to include a discussion on the treatment of orality and its deviations in interaction situations. We also found that there is a lack of pragmatic treatment of orality, this is because it is reflected in the use of inadequate Discursive Markers (DMs).

  • Thinking about the teaching of literature today, as well as the practices that guide this teaching, means thinking about the kind of student we want to educate. An autonomous, critical and reflective subject requires literary practices that favor his/her development and take into account his/her reading of the world. From this perspective, our research is outlined based on questions and inquiries about the way in which literature is approached in high school in an increasingly fast-paced and digital world. Based on the above, the general objective of this work is to investigate the interaction of third-year high school readers with the short stories “Restos do Carnaval” and “Felicidade Clandestina”, by Clarice Lispector, considering articulations with Open Educational Resources (OER) to rethink the teaching of literature in digital culture. In line with the general objective, the specific objectives are: 1) To map Open Educational Resources (OER) portals to support didactic planning in the artistic-literary field; 2) Develop a didactic sequence to address the short stories “Restos do Carnaval” and “Felicidade Clandestina”, by Clarice Lispector, in the 3rd year of high school, with the support of OER; 3) Evaluate the perceptions of the reading students of the 3rd year of high school, considering the literary experiences lived during the applied didactic sequence. Regarding the theoretical contribution, the research is guided by the following approaches: in the Aesthetics of Reception, we focus on Iser (1979, 1996); Jauss, (1976, 1994) and on the critical considerations of Zilberman (2015) on this theoretical aspect, in the teaching of literature in Cosson (2009, 2020); Dalvi, Rezende, Jover-Faleiros (2013) Silva (2003, 2005, 2006, 2014, 2017) among others, regarding reflections on cyberculture, we resorted to the approach of Lévy (1999). In the thematic axis of Open Educational Resources - OER, we contemplated the studies of Pretto (2012); Starobinas (2012); Baraniuk (2015); UNESCO (2011), Amiel (2010), among others. In methodological terms, the present investigation is of an applied nature, as it is action research, developed through a field study in a public school of the state high school network of Pernambuco. Regarding the organization of the didactic sequence for teaching literature, we resorted to the studies of Cosson (2009), through the proposal of the Basic Sequence, consisting of four stages: motivation, introduction, reading and interpretation. The research highlights the qualitative approach, with some quantitative data, and uses a Diagnostic Assessment Guide (RAD) as a data collection tool to identify the reading profile of the class in question. Regarding the proposed objectives, the research fits into the descriptive/interpretative design. The results show us that it is possible to rethink the teaching of literature, and that students, when engaged, can become active readers. The students' testimonies provide us with possible paths on how working with short stories in school can motivate them in the “game of literary reading” (Iser, 1979), through literature classes supported using OER.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This research stems from the premise that visual novels, hybrids of digital games and literature, are fertile materials for providing literary literacy; they are particularly interesting to elementary school students, who have an often frowned upon and misunderstood relationship with games. In our work, we suggest combining this interest in digital games with the commitment to knowledge required by learning, by developing literary literacy activities using visual novels. Thus, we ask: “In what ways can visual novels contribute to literary literacy practices?” To this end, we seek a better understanding of this hybrid genre in what we believe to be the points of interest for this research. We analyzed what digital literature is, its main elements and characteristics, based on the readings of Lévy (2010), Murray (2001), and Santaella (2005); we also observed the relationship between game and literature, based on Iser (2011) and Barthes (2004); we listed the elements that characterize the visual novel genre, based on Azuma (2009), Cavallaro (2010) and Melo (2021). We carried out a bibliographic review on literary literacy and the educational possibilities provided by visual novels, using Cosson (2022) and Camingue; Melcer; and Carstensdottir (2020). Finally, we analyzed the visual novel Higurashi: When They Cry Hou – Ch. 1 Onikakushi; ultimately, we sought alternatives for its use in literary literacy practices.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  •

We understand that teaching literature at school needs more space and renewal in all possible pedagogical aspects, from planning to experiences. In the Basic Education scenario, especially about High School, literature seems to be approached as a historiographic proposition of literary schools, with excerpts from works in contextual dissonance and without dialogue with authors and contemporary productions. Most of the time, students' interests and knowledge are not valued in the composition of classes, among countless other issues, which result in the fragile formation of literary readers. In view of this, we seek, in this work, as a general objective, to investigate the didactic-pedagogical potential of living literature at school, focusing on the works Estão matando os meninos (2020) and A Luta Verbal (2022), by Raimundo Carrero, considering teaching processes for literary reading in high school. In alignment with the general objective, presented as the guiding research question: How can approaching Raimundo Carrero's work contribute to the processes of teaching literature in high school, taking into account the critical readings of Estão matando os meninos and A Luta Verbal? As for theoretical support, we are guided by the dialogical connections between literature, education and society, by the approaches regarding the right to literature, by Antonio Candido (1995, 1999, 2011) and Bourdieu (1989, 1998, 2015) focusing on the perspective of social criticism in the field of education. Regarding literature and its situation in high school, teaching literature and literary reading, we took as a basis Zilberman (1991), Silva (2006), Rouxel (2013, 2021), Dalvi (2011), Moisés (2016) and Lajolo (1993). We resorted to Anastasiou's approach (2002, 2015) on the term teaching applied to working with literature at school, and to Cosson (2007, 2020, 2023) on literary literacy practices. For critical readings of A Luta Verbal (2022) and Estão matando os meninos (2020) in connections with literature, education and society, we turn to Antonio Candido (2002, 2006, 2011) and Silva (2003, 2006); in addition to bringing it to the literary scope in relation to the context of violence in the carrerian work Paviani (2016) and Chauí (1998). Regarding the methodological design, this is action research carried out in Erem Padre Nércio Rodrigues, in the city of Recife, Pernambuco, with high school students. Through diagnostic assessments of the students' learning demands, didactic-pedagogical planning was carried out aimed at literature teaching processes at school, with a focus on training critical readers in the artistic-literary field. We propose to address strategies and methodologies to offer didactic-pedagogical design, aiming at training literary readers; We will also describe pedagogical experiences in the process of teaching literature in the school environment, considering the application of a didactic project with students.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • In recent decades, many researchers have (re)thought the application of knowledge, based on studies with genres, but little based on knowledge of their historicity or with texts from the legal/police domain. Given this reality, our research intends to propose a pedagogical action, based on the Police Report, that makes work with textual genres worthwhile at school for students in the last year of High School, based on the brazilian National Curricular Common Base (BNCC, 2018). In this research, we seek to focus on threat narratives and their teachable dimensions, namely: compositional, thematic and linguistic-discursive. The interest will be to investigate, from a historical perspective, the transformations of these narratives, from the 20th century to the 21st century, especially with regard to significant traces of change and permanence. The theoretical apparatus is centered on the models of Discursive Tradition (TD), Coseriu (1981), Longhin (2014) and Kabatek (2006), on Sociodiscursive Interactionism (ISD), based on Bronckart (1999) and on the Didactic Itinerary, proposed by Colognesi and Dolz (2017). The methodological approach is documentary and qualitative in nature, since the analyzes will be of an interpretative nature, considering the theoretical apparatus explained, in order to suggest a didactic itinerary that contemplates the historicity of the language and the text, supported by official education documents. With this study, our intention is to propose meaningful teaching in the context of the mother tongue, providing the EM learner with textual and linguistic-discursive skills to act in public life, through basic mastery of legal texts.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This paper aims to investigate and reflect on the practice of writing by examining a corpus of past synchronicity consisting of 50 letters written by a couple from Pernambuco during the first half of the 20th century. Specifically, this dissertation focuses on: (i) reconstructing the socio-cultural writer’s profile, based on a combination of their memories, recorded in an interview, and information gathered from the letters themselves; (ii) the tradition of personal letter writing, by observing the structure and themes in the letters written by them; and (iii) characterizing the level of skill by investigating the writing production of the Pernambuco correspondents. Under the theoretical-methodological framework of the Social History of Written Culture (Petrucci, 1978, 2003; Martínez, 1988; Castillo Gómez and Sáez, 2016; Castilho Gómez, 2020), with respect to the characterization of the writers' handwriting (Marquilhas, 2000; Santiago, 2012; 2019), and the Discourse Tradition Model (Koch, 1997; Kabatek, 2004, 2006; 2012; Longhin, 2014), the results indicate that the corpus is representative of the practice of writing love letters. It reveals that the theme of love takes on nuances and contributes to the complexity and depth of the emotional experiences between N (the bride) and Z (the groom), while also showing that structural elements transcend time through their socio-communicative function. Although both correspondents exhibit dimensions of inadequacy with writing, their letters also reveal the ability to compose love letters, understood as a cultural tradition. This demonstrates that the practice of letter writing is not merely individual but a historically constructed cultural heritage that meets social demands related to romantic communication through written correspondence. Therefore, the research contributes to discussions in both the field of Social History of Written Culture and the Discourse Tradition Model by presenting significant data on Pernambuco writers who were unskilled in producing love letters in the first half of the 20th century.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This research aims to analyze the treatment of linguistic variation as knowledge object in four collections of textbooks approved by the PNLD 2020 for the triennium 2023, adopted in Pernambuco that correspond to the four spheres of teaching: municipal school, state school, Application and private school, doing a reflection around the curricular proposal of basic education II. The object of research was thought with base in the inquires during my performance through the guiding documents from as Portuguese teacher about the approach of treatment of linguistic variation in the notebooks. The theoretical reference used in this research is based on the studies of Sociolinguistics (Labov,([1972]2008),), more specifically, of Educational Sociolinguistics (Bortoni-Ricardo, 2004; Bagno, 2007). We emphasize the importance of this theory in promoting a practice based on the pedagogy of linguistic variation of effective appreciation of the different varieties and forms of use existing of brazilian portuguese as mother tongue. For this study, we have adopted the procedure of document analysis of a qualitative/interpretative character as being a more appropriate method that meets the purpose of the research. So far, the preliminary results point out that the treatment of linguistic variation didactic books analyzed, receives little in-depth, not satisfyingly addressing what is envisaged by the curricular proposal. In the collection destined for the municipality, the theme is treated as the object of knowledge in the 6th and 9th years, and in the collection dedicated to the state network only in the 7th and 9th years, the collection for the application school and the private school, it will be treated only for 6th and 9th years. Therefore, the expectation is that this work contributes to the discussions on linguistic variation in the school contexts in Pernambuco, taking as a starting point that language is not homogeneous.

  • The idea of identity seems to have always followed and unsettled mankid. Particularly in the liquid modernity we currently live in, the influence of the digital information and communication technologies (DICT) have greatly contributed to the increase of interest upon it and its flexibilization for some new discussions about it. Because identity dialogues with many areas, it is tough to provide a closed and final definition. However, in Cultural Studies, theorists such as Stuart Hall (1992), Homi Bhabha (1994), Zygmunt Bauman (2001), among others, have contributed to the new reflections when, through the perspective of culture, study the transformations modern societies have been submitted to as well as the impact such changes have on the construction of the modern subject identity in these contexts. In this contemporary context in which we find ourselves, where the flexibilization of cultural thresholds displace individuals physically and symbolically, it becomes interesting to support the study of identity in the conception of the city, for example, especially when we consider it as a space for the materialization of the symbolic set of a society. In the attempt to give meaning to a complex reality of feelings that emerge from the various social identity loci, the figure of the poet emerges invested with the task of, through the poetic text, capturing and recording the cultural scenario and offering back to society the opportunity to transform not only itself, but also the panorama in which it finds itself. In this context, the chicana writer Gloria Anzaldúa adds to the debate by introducing in her famous poem ‘‘To Live in the Borderlands means you’’, the idea of a mestiza consciousness and the borderlands as its birthplace. By doing so, not only she supports Hall’s, Bhabha’s, and Bauman’s propositions that the liquid modernity contributes to the emergence of a fragmented or hybrid identity, but she also attributes great significance to the borderlands in the symbolic dimension when in the formation of the new consciousness. Similarly, in ‘‘rooting’’, a poem collection in ‘‘the sun and her flowers’’ (2017), Indian-Canadian poet rupi kaur explores the experience of an immigrant mestiza identity and its feeling of being a ‘‘bridge’’ between India and Canada. The theme shared between the two texts takes us to conduct a comparative analysis between texts, which allows us to observe that even though there is a common thematic ground between the poems because of its common topic and the genre choice, the time, geographical and linguistic crossroads lead each writer on a particular and individual textual path. Ultimately, even in the face of the simultaneous dialogue and distance between the texts, both Anzaldúa and kaur succeed, through their texts, in advancing the discussion on the hybrid/mestiza identity that is formed in this liquid and flexible modernity.

  • Motherhood, as an experience linked to the female image, is present in the human imagination and is represented in different cultural expressions. In turn, representations of this experience are intertwined with issues of gender, race and social condition, which throughout history have supported a series of stereotypes and idealizations about maternal roles, especially when related to black women. In traditional literature, we can observe the invisibility attributed to the experiences, protagonism and history of black women-mothers as a demonstration of this reality, as these women rarely occupied a prominent place in the literary pages, often being portrayed in a limited way by fragments patriarchal and racist attitudes that are remnants of slavery and colonialism. However, in our contemporary times, Afro-feminine literary production has contributed to reformulating this scenario. As a result, the purpose of this work is to investigate the maternal representations present in the short stories “Fios de Ouro”, “The sacred bread of children” and “The girl in the yellow dress”, present in the work “Stories of slight mistakes and similarities” (2016), by writer Conceição Evaristo. Our main objective is to explore the hypothesis that the black maternal representations present in these narratives converge to the resignification of the history of black women-mothers in relation to the racist and patriarchal stereotypes created by colonialist and slave-owning dictates in Brazil. The methodology used to develop this research is qualitative-interpretive in nature. In order to build a broader view of the investigative focus, two theoretical-critical strands were mobilized: Cultural Studies in postmodernity based on the contributions of Hall (2003,2016) to address issues inherent to the factors that affect the (re)formulations of representations, especially those related to the processes of racialization and production of stereotypes; Gender Studies, which claims to be aligned with Black Feminism, subsidized by Gonzalez, (2018, 2020); Collins (2015); Oyěwùmí (2016, 2021) and Vasconcelos (2015) to address gendered and racial issues intersected with the imagetic (re)signification of black women-mothers, in addition to Duarte (2009, 2014) and Cuti (2010) within the scope of Literary Criticism to guide reflections regarding literature.

  • Among the language studies inserted into today's, Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) studies are one of the most prominent for observing power relations in society and how these relations are constructed and constituted by discursive elements. Thus, in order to promote studies that already have a large space in academia, this research sought as a subject of observation the discursive phenomena that occur on the internet, more specifically the phenomena intrinsic to the production and transmission of memes. Furthermore, aiming to achieve the expansion of transdisciplinarity and be able to contemplate the social sciences from a more cohesive perspective, an analysis of discursive phenomena was chosen not only by CDA, but also by postulates in legal sciences. For the purpose of enable such a study, it was limited to an investigation process whose corpora are the reproductions/productions and transmissions of memes in which hate speeches towards feminine (misogynistic, homophobic and transphobic) are intertwined in their content, mischaracterizing the which would be an internet production focused on humor and composing a possible typical, anti-legal and culpable act. Therefore, the aim of the study was to a) identify what memes would be, and the mechanisms used in memes to spread hate speech against women under the distortion of humor; b) prove that certain meme productions do not comply with legality, but rather commit an illicit act, using as corpora memes that discursively violate the feminine; c) reflect on the existing impunity for the creation and dissemination of this specific kind of memes and point out possible effects of these on social relations. To enable the studies to be carried out, a qualitative research methodology was adopted, through the review of existing literature such as theses, articles, dissertations and the theoretical postulates of central authors in the areas of memetics, CDA, sociology and criminal and constitutional law. Finally, after research and considerations, a three-dimensional analysis of the corpora was carried out — sociological, linguistic-discursive and legal. In this way, achieving conclusive and provocative results for the State and the academic community in relation to the discursive and legal phenomena related to the meme.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Júlia Lopes de Almeida (1862-1934) was an important Brazilian writer who actively participated in the brazilian intellectual and literary scene at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Despite her extensive work, widely published during her time, the writer was gradually rendered invisible by phallocentric criticism after her death, not being found in our literary historiographies. However, feminist literary criticism has been recovering this and other authors, bringing to light these erased names from our literature. Most of Júlia Lopes' fictional works tend to have female protagonists, from whom one can glimpse the living conditions of various women of that period – from a questioning point of view, as we intend to illustrate. With this in mind, this work focuses on six short stories from the collection Ânsia Eterna, originally published in 1903 – "Esperando", "In extremis", "Os porcos", "Sob as estrelas", "O caso de Rute", and "As rosas" –, from which we will observe the author's perspective on three themes addressed by her in these narratives: bourgeois marriage, abandonment of mixed-race women, and violence against women. Based on this, our research aims to investigate how, through these plots, a problematic of women is outlined, in order to highlight Almeida's critical position regarding the female condition in Brazilian society at the fin-de-siècle. To this end, we focus on the characterization and experiences of the female characters, as well as the narrative resources and strategies in the presentation of the plot, paying attention to subliminal messages and some signaled ruptures. In our discussions, we rely on the theoretical contributions of Beauvoir (1967, 1970), Perrot (1991, 2003, 2005), Del Priore (2020), Telles (1992, 2004), Muzart (1990, 1995, 1996, 2014), De Luca (1997), among other authors. The study is basic in nature, with a qualitative approach and, regarding methodological procedures, a bibliographic review was conducted. In the end, our proposal is to reveal, from the studied short stories, that the writer exposes and questions the mechanisms of patriarchal domination responsible for subjugating and oppressing the "second sex." Therefore, far from reinforcing traditions, as some researchers claim, the writer subtly criticized them, with skill and shrewdness, as directly confronting that androcentric 19th-century society could have cost her the fame and success she achieved among her contemporaries.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This work aims to discuss the concept of memory in individual and collective perspectives, in "Sonhadora" (2002) by Adriana Lunardi, to observe how the muted female voice in the plot contributes to the reconstruction of a social memory. Through the protagonist Júlia, we seek to understand how her memories and those of other characters are presented in the narrative representing values and mentalities of various profiles of society. In order to problematize how the text transfigures the context of the social strata present in the story, theoretical assumptions of Jeagger (1994), Aristotle (2008), Lukács (2009) and Antonio Candido (2014) were used, in order to record a historical panorama on the configuration of heroes and characters over time. Regarding memory, the ideas of Weinrich (2001) on remembering and forgetting were considered; Bergson (1999) and his perspective on individual memory; and, considering memory as a collective manifestation, the postulates of Halbwachs (1990) and Ecléa Bosi were followed (1979; 2003). This research had a bibliographical character and a qualitative approach, and the analysis allowed to realize that two stories integrate the tale: the lunardiana narrative and the narrative of the protagonist. In the story of Júlia, aspects that are turned to the oral process were identified, as well as the importance of the act of narrating in the transmission of experiences. Considering the individual memory, it was found that the memories of the protagonist outline their behavior and serve as a guide for the development of their actions. Living without seeing the world, individual memories function as a way to keep the world and memory alive as death approaches. As for collective memory, the representations that each woman plays throughout the narrative recall conditions of silence and lack of female representation in literature, referencing a condition: that the memory of women has suffered attempts to erase throughout history. Thus, the individual memory becomes collective as it provides reflections that turn to the representativeness of a female collectivity.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • When I made the state of art around the productions about the Pajubá, many problems concerning the construction of these works surrounded me: the identity focus given to the gay population, the researchers' conception of language, and the common ground of discussions mostly wrapped around the same point: the historical emergence of the dialect and its relationship with the languages of African origin. However, all these problems soon dissipated when, in an encounter with the travesti epistemologies, I made an interesting observation: beyond these works, the Pajubá also appears as a linguistic and political strategy in the productions of the T population. That is: it is not necessarily presented as a central research object, but, above all, as a possibility of distension of the scientific norm for the construction of new epistemologies based on the world experiences of this population, having, in this way, the Pajubá as a kind of theoretical compass in the orientation of these productions. In this sense, this work aims to analyze this mobilization of the Pajubá as an epistemological key in the construction of scientific knowledge of academic transgender and travesti women. I start from the defense that this drive not only displaces the logic of Western knowledge production based on Cartesian science, but, above all, guides to a new direction/ethic of being and being in the world, guided by the affects, by the vital experiences and by the attraction of collectivity. To this end, I turn specifically to the analysis of the works of Amara Moira (2021), Dodi Leal (2018), and Sara Wagner (2020) as they manipulate the Pajubá as a linguistic, thematic, and conceptual-analytical resource, respectively. I do this through the theoretical lenses of Decoloniality and Queer Theory in contrast to the philosophy of René Descartes.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • In this study, we verified the perception of elementary school students about the representation of women in the Brega-funk scene. From the perspective of Critical Literacy (STREET, 2014) and in the light of Critical Discourse Analysis (FAIRCLOUGH, 2001), we will discuss from the perspective of literacy as a social practice that highlights the social and cultural nature of reading and writing, considering the different spheres of literate practices. The research addresses the social construction of the female image based on concepts such as interactionism (VYGOTSKY, 2000) and intentionality (TOMASELLO, 2003). The linguistic-discursive analyzes start from the historicity of this style of song and its linguistic variety, the different effects of meaning motivated by lexical choices and other verbalization strategies, focusing on critical discourse analysis. The general objective is to analyze the perception of the students of the 8th year of Elementary School from Paulista City about the female representation in Brega-funk songs. The specific objectives are: 1. Tracing the historicity of Brega-funk, considering previous musical styles; 2- Identify linguistic-discursive marks that show the female representation in Brega-funk lyrics; 3. Check how students see the representation of women in Brega-funk before and after a didactic intervention. As methodological aspects, we adopted the inductive approach method; comparative procedure method; research, from the point of view of its nature, is applied; from the approach point of view, it is qualitative and quantitative; from the point of view of objectives, it is exploratory; from the point of view of procedures, it is field research (LAKATOS & MARCONI, 2003). This study is relevant because it seeks not only to discuss the new spaces conquered by contemporary women in society, but also to add new perspectives to Portuguese language teaching, working with a genre that is underestimated by the current elitist education system.

  • This dissertation aims to analyze the evocation of the female part of the Orixas pantheon in three short stories by the writer Conceição Evaristo, present in the work Olhos D'água. In addition, addressing issues related to the black female and the importance of the Yabas for these fictions. When researching such literary bodies, it was essential to study the perspective of the body of black women in society, traced through verisimilitude (likelihood) as well as the discursive formation and identity of the characters conceived by a literary woman who breaks the barriers of silencing and imputed hypersexualization to the black race from the beginning of colonization. Such marks on bodies, such as those that Conceição Evaristo builds and deconstructs are part of a project to revive memory and history that the European colonizer tried to erase and, despite the themes treated by the writer have a hard realist bias, the way she conceives her writings it allows us to understand mimetic subjects as songs and poems from the daily lives of other real women, in a way that only Afro-Diasporic Literature would be able to formulate. It is art reconfigured through a cruel past on the certainties and uncertainties of the present, in favor of a future of self-recognition and dignity. • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The research entitled "Cartonerbooks[1]: a pedagogical strategy for the process of textual production and reading/listening of the soul" was developed in the research line Linguistic, textual, discursive and enunciative analyses – studies from different theoretical perspectives, of the Graduate Program in Language Studies - PROGEL/UFRPE. The study deals with the need for a work with the language (gem) based on the multiple textual genres, which allow to understand the voices of socio-historical and ideological subjects in various communicative situations. Thus, it aims to investigate the contributions of the cartonero book as a pedagogical strategy of the Portuguese-speaking Professor (PLP) for a practice of textual production that provides the listening of the internalized voices of the student. The research was carried out in a public school, located in the city of Recife - PE and the subjects of the study were a Portuguese language teacher and her students of the 1st year of high school. The choice of these students is justified by the fact that they practice, in the last years of basic education, numerous activities of written textual production aimed at school writing, invisibilitizing other written textual genres, which cooperate with the development of the language(gem) and, consequently, for the expression of the feeling, acting and thinking of the students. In this sense, problematization consists of the following reflection: can the use of cartonero book books in the classroom be configured as a PLP strategy capable of strengthening the textual production process and contributing to the reading/listening of the internalized voices of the student? Using the action research method, the following procedures were used: documentary analysis, exploratory observation, semi-structured interview, workshop for the teacher in the area of language, for the use of the cartonero book, and participant observation. Inserted in a qualitative approach, the research has, in its epistemological basis, authors such as Abreu (2003), Antunes (2003), Bakthin (1990), Bentes (2014), Benveniste (2005), Chartier (2019), Dezerto (2010), Fiorin (2015), Freire (2011), Geraldi (1984). Leal (2020), Marcuschi (2008), Saussure (2015), Orlandi (1998) among others, who cooperate with discussions of the following categories: (1) the subject; (2) ideology; (3) Discursive formation and (4) discourse. Therefore, the idea defended is that the work with the written textual genres must occur from an interactive perspective of language(gem), which allows the reading/listening of the internalized voices of the subject. Thus, cartonerbooks are supports that can assist plp for a rich and vast work seated in this perspective.

  • The human relationship with nature is an ancient practice and this affinity can be even deeper between women and nature. This link is narrowed by the fact that both are seen as subaltern and both marginalized by patriarchal power. Therefore, the present study aimed to bring from the book Ponciá Vicêncio, by Conceição Evaristo, an analysis of the mythical and cultural relationship that exists between black female characters and the elements of nature. Soon after, we undertook an evaluation of the importance of these black women in relation to of preserving the customs and culture of their people through an Ecofeminist perspective. Some analytical paths taken were: identifying the relationship between woman and nature in this book, subsequently, measuring what this link can infer in the construction of the black people identity, as well as in the appreciation of the culture of black people in this book. For that, we used as a method for data collection: bibliographical research, through the study raised in the theoretical framework on the origin and contributions of Ecofeminism, having as main theoretical interlocutors of ecofeminist studies - Ynestra King (1989) Vandana Shiva (1993), Françoise d'Eaubonne (1980), Karen Warren (2000), Mary Mellor (2000), Izabel Brandão (2003-2020) for literary analysis. And to base the expositions about literature by black female authors, as well as to think about the place of black women in society, we will focus on the theory of Patrícia Hill Collins (2019), bell hooks (1995), Núbia Moreira (2007), Mirian Alves (2010), Suely Carneiro (2003), Ângela Davis (2016) and Conceição Evaristo (2003-2005-2009).

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The enunciative approach in language teaching is relatively recent and is still in the process of consolidation, especially if we consider the enunciative perspective based on Benveniste's theoretical postulates. On the other hand, an approach of this nature has considerable breadth, as it is based on principles that include regular aspects of the language system and, at the same time, support subjective singularities in the uniqueness of the discursive act. Therefore, language teaching from this enunciative point of view can promote the development of the student's linguistic, textual and discursive capacities, as postulated by official education documents such as the National Common Curricular Base, the Law of Directives and Base of Education 9495/96, the National Curriculum Parameters. In this sense, the present research turns to the category of time from an enunciative perspective, seeking to discuss its dimensions and formulate principles for approaching this category in language teaching. From an enunciative point of view, the category of time presents several dimensions linked to the discursive act and to the elements underlying it, such as experience, alterity, history and human culture in and through language. In the case of the written text, the updating of the temporal category also presents other particularities related to the signifying system of writing. This dissertation aims to analyze the construction and organization of the category of time in productions of textual narratives written by students of Elementary School I in order to think about elements for an enunciative approach to temporality in the teaching of the mother tongue. The work is based on the studies of Émile Benveniste, for whom writing is a complex form of discourse, which demands an activity from the enunciator-scriber at the semiotic level of the language to allow him to establish a relationship with the other through signs. The research corpus was composed of narratives written and rewritten by students from Elementary School 1. The analyzes have a qualitative-interpretative character and focus on the observation of the functioning of the category of time and the construction of reference in written textual narratives, seeking to understand the subjectivity and intersubjectivity of the enunciator-writer. Based on Benveniste's perspectives, we conclude that, in written enunciation, the child promotes adjustments to his writing through reference and construction of meanings in the written narrative text. In this way, when the child expresses himself in the language, he reveals his place in the written enunciative act through syntagmatization procedures used for the construction of meanings in the written text in the relationship between speaker and addressee. In the act of writing, the child shows all its uniqueness regarding the system and structure of the language due to the process of self-reference carried out by the child when appropriating the language to establish the written enunciation.

  • This research arises from the importance of understanding the interactive contexts of use of the term “feminazi”, in anti-feminist communities of “shitpost”, as a process of discrimination and vulgarization of women. Considering cultural transmission and biological determinism, elements of resignification that also contribute to the discrimination of the feminist movement as a guarantee of rights reserved for women. In this research, we seek to examine the iconicity related to the term “feminazi” in its form and function in the communicative act, in addition to its subprinciples analyzed in the comments referring to the “shitpost” reaffirming transgressive behaviors in the network. The objective is to analyze internet memes in the “shitpost” culture as a process of legitimizing discrimination and vulgarization of women in these communities. For the development of the research, we adopted the following authors as theoretical support: Tomasello (2003), Bourdieu (2002), Martelotta (2015), Van Dijk (2019), Butler (2003), Cunha (2010), Maingueneau (1997). Methodologically, the object of the research is the “shitpost”, its definition and the use of the term “femnazi” as an icon in the communicative act of these virtual communities. We conclude that the research does not end here due to its relevance to functionalist studies and the interactionist process of language.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Fanfics have been revealing themselves as a phenomenon of literary creation, transforming the relations between authors-texts-readers in the artistic-literary field. Fanfic is a contemporary production of digital culture and makes reference to narratives written by fans (Aguiar, 2011), based on rereadings of artistic-literary works. The main objective of this research is to investigate fanfics as emerging genres in dialogue with literary literacy practices of high school students, considering didactic-pedagogical strategies for Literary Education in digital culture. As for the theoretical contribution, the investigation presents an interdisciplinary approach (Education, Teaching and Literature), articulating literary studies focused on the Aesthetics of Reception (Jauss, 1994, 2002; Iser, 1996, 1999), cyberculture, cyberspace and to fanfics (Lévy, 2009; Castells, 1999; Santaella, 2007, 2012), to the right to Literature (Candido, 2006), curriculum and BNCC (Brasil, 2018), in connection with research in the areas of teaching Literature and Literary Education (Silva, 2013, 2015) and literary literacy (Cosson, 2014). As for the methodology, the research is of an applied nature, with a qualitative approach. With regard to methodological procedures, this is an action research carried out in a public school in the state network, with the application of semi-structured questionnaires and the application of a literary workshop in the classroom with high school students for the diagnostic evaluation of the learning demands of students in relation to literary literacy practices. Based on the diagnostic evaluation, didactic-pedagogical planning was applied through a literary workshop, based on the basic sequence of Cosson (2014). With the Literary Workshop application in the classroom, students were invited to read the literary work Becos da Memória (2006) by Conceição Evaristo, a posteriori, students produced fanfics based on the work literary work in the literary workshop with a view to the dialogue between Literary Education and literary literacy practices in digital culture. As considerations, we note that fanfics can be used as didactic-pedagogical resources to motivate the teaching of Literature in the context of basic education, expanding students' literary literacy practices. The use of fanfics is a possible resource in basic education, since the integration favored by digital culture offers multiple possibilities for writing and reading. We conclude that fanfic creates an interactive and collaborative relationship between the author, the reader and the original work. This interplay between the three elements is what makes fanfic a unique form of literary and creative expression. Therefore, authors and readers can actively participate in collaborative exchanges in cyberspace, building and (re)building literary literacy practices in digital media.

  • In literature, the male figure almost always represented leadership and occupied a position of superiority, this was reflected in the way women were represented in literature. Despite the invisibility of the female voice and the female body being presented in the literary field, generally, in a sexualized way and in the condition of submission to the Christian religion, some authors promoted a break with this canonical system, and brought female characters who were “ladies of their wills”, suggesting the breaking of the thought that was based on the canon, promoting, then, the neutralization of the order of masculine force, considered as universal and legitimized through the discourses. Jorge Amado, for example, was one of the authors of Brazilian Literature who broke with national boundaries and gained worldwide notoriety with his vast literary production and several novels that narrate stories permeated by historical, social and cultural issues in the country. In this sense, we developed a literary analysis of the work “O Sumiço da Santa”, by Jorge Amado, in order to understand how the cultural processes related to the sexuality and religiosity of the characters Adalgisa and Manola, and the female representation in the field of studies literary. For this, the research was oriented from the Cultural Studies of Post-Modernity, with emphasis on issues related to identity, social representations and female sexuality. The general objective of the research is to understand how religion influences the construction of female sexuality in the aforementioned work. As for the specific objectives, we investigated how the understanding of the cultural processes related to the sexuality and religiosity of the characters Adalgisa and Manola took place, how this process is represented in literature and how the female figure is represented in the literary field. Therefore, based on the following guiding question: How does religiosity influence the construction of female characters in the work “O sumiço da Santa: uma história de sorceria”?, we seek to prove that, in the work in question, the processes related to sexuality are influenced by of patriarchal religion and that are presented in a less liberating way for the women in the work.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Among the books recommended "for children", there is a welcome variety of stories that goes beyond age limits. Stories that make us understand childhood not as a chronological period, but as a way of being and a cultural object. This expanded vision of childhood inhabits the literature that overtakes a previously calculated audience. This research portrays how the “trans-age literature”, based on the so-called “crossover fiction” (Beckett, 2009), can be identified in the book “Tales from outer suburbia” (Contos de lugares distantes, 2012), by the australian writer and illustrator Shaun Tan. From the methodological perspective of Minayo (2007), we carried out an exploratory research based on analytical bibliography, divided into three axes: 1) Reflect on the multiple recipients of literature with potential for children's reception, based on the concept of “implicit reader”, and how it can be read in the work under analysis. Supported by assumptions from Reader-Response Criticism, we resorted to Iser (1996 and 1999), Jauss (1994), and also to the critical reading of Zilberman (2015); To examine how “trans-etharity” occurs in the reading of the work under analysis, we dialogue with contemporary perspectives about the relationships between book and reader, such as Penelas (2023), Squilloni (2023) and Bajour (2018). 2) Revisit theoretical productions about books that are not suitable for unique audiences. To do this, we start from a bibliographical review that explores different views on recipient issues in the literature, especially in Beckett (2009) and Andruetto (2012 and 2017); 3) Present the perceptions of writer and illustrator Shaun Tan, based on an unpublished interview carried out for this dissertation. We used three short stories by Tan (2012a) as our literary corpus: "Eric", "Undertow" and "Stick figure". In these readings, we map the way in which each text invokes multiple readers, seeking in every potential reader a possible dialogue with the element of childhood. and narrating associative elements of several age universes. We see in the texts possibilities to expand the mere association between child-childhood to find the plural childhoods that populate the so called “trans-age literature”,. Finally, we present an interview with Shaun Tan, carried out exclusively for this work. The interview was placed in dialogue with aspects of the theoretical basis used and also the non-fiction book "Creature" (TAN, 2022b), in order to provide an insight into the “trans-age literature”, from the dimension of authorship. We hope to contribute to the scientific production of this expanding field, which is theory and literary criticism focused on productions for children, bearing in mind the relevance of putting its multiple recipients on stage; a field that is increasingly situated as a place of paradoxically unclassifiable borders, of transitions and subjectivities, as are the subjects who cohabit it.

  • This research seeks to investigate how the relationship between socioeconomic inequality in the city of Recife and the discourse present in brega-funk songs occurs. To this end, recent data on the topic involving the capital of Pernambuco were collected and debated, especially based on the contributions of Soares (2021). A historical contextualization of the city's founding and the establishment of its current center-periphery configuration was also carried out. Based on studies by Orlandi (2004; 2017), brega-funk was presented as a phenomenon that reflects and produces conflicts between Recife's socioeconomic classes and as a practice that establishes an intrinsic equivalence between the periphery and the peripherals/ those of the city. The corpus is made up of five songs by different authors that have more than one million views on the video platform YouTube, having been released since 2018, which is considered the year in which brega-funk achieved national success. The songs were analyzed based on Critical Discourse Analysis, more specifically on Norman Fairclough's (2003) approach to discourse as a representation of social events, using the clause transitivity system as a linguistic criterion, according to the guidelines of Systemic-Functional Linguistics of Halliday and Matthiessen (2014).

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The narratives about the Mozambican nation and memories have contributed to shaping national images and, consequently, the country's identity. Mia Couto is an important author due to his literary production and the role he played during the post-independence period of Mozambique. His literature plays a significant role in the process of constructing a national identity by revaluing traditional customs and reclaiming elements of the culture. "Women of the Ashes" is the first novel in the "Sands of the Emperor" trilogy, which provides the perspective of Imani, a woman who experiences the arrival of colonizers and the process of resistance and acculturation endured by her people. In this sense, the objective of this work is to understand the presence of a Mozambican identity by investigating the markers related to the protagonist. Drawing on important concepts of nation and identity elaborated by Hobsbawm (2020) and Hall (2009), along with a brief study of Mozambican history and literature, the analysis of the work was conducted. From what was observed, it was possible to recognize the existence of an identity marked by hybridity, a result of contact with the colonizing world. Cultural assimilation emerged as a determining factor in shaping an identity in constant construction, through the adoption of European language and customs.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • We propose to research male and female gender markers in Brazilian Sign Language. On the trail of the paths pointed out by the studies of Tanya Felipe (1988 to 2018), Ronice Quadros et al (2004 to 2020), Maria Cristina Silva and Fabíola Sell (2009, 2011), we intend to contribute to the Studies of Language through the characterization, description and classification of the possibilities of use of the given phenomenon. For that, we delimited as object of our investigation the words of professions and family members, signaled by 33 participants of the Surdos de Referência category, of the national inventory Corpus de Libras. For data analysis and verification, we opted for a qualitative and quantitative approach, through bibliographic review, video observation, transcription of signs in glosses, systematization in tables and classification in three predominant marking systems - Categorical Marking, Mixed Marking and No Marking. In addition to sharing examples of non-mandatory and gender marking possibilities, we point out the use of some linguistic strategies eventually used to add this information. We emphasize that: (i) there are few theoretical data and these only partially contemplate the various possibilities presented by our informants; (ii) in Libras there is no obligation to mark the masculine or feminine and there is no triggering of such agreement; (iii) admissibility and marking possibilities are only for animated beings; and (iv) especially when the marking is categorical, we infer that there may be influences from both the hegemonic society and the contact language, Brazilian Portuguese. Based on the collected data, we concluded that, in the analyzed corpus, Libras presents five types of gender explanation: (a) unmarked – only the base sign; (b) gender + base sign; (c) distinct signals; (d) base sign + icon or classifier; and (e) contextual – deixis, anaphora and retaken. A total of approximately 900 signs were recorded in gloss, of which 230 are in the 'Professional' section and 670 in the 'Family' section. We identified that there was no mention of the gender of professionals, so in this vocabulary group all the informants characterize the Non-Marking system. On the other hand, in the signaling of the words of family members, the optional markings occurred categorically in no more than 15% of the cases. The other informants had their categories identified in the Mixed Marking (39.4%) and Non Marking (42.4%) systems. Such results corroborate the perception that Libras presents its categorization of genres distinct from languages with grammatical gender.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • From the understanding of journalism as a social agent that promotes and affects certain forms of common sense and serves power as the maintainer of social structures, this dissertation proposes to critically analyze the way in which cases of violence and violations of human rights against the TRANS population are published in the newspapers, in order to understand and to question the linguistic strategies used to announce such crimes and the possible consequences of using these strategies for the debate on the subject in society. Through Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), 4 news published on the G1 and UOL portals were examined, between the period from 2017 to 2021, presenting a scenario of resurgence of LGBTphobia and the legitimation of hate speech and violence, notably related to the political-electoral narrative. To guide the analytical path, the reflections presented here are anchored in the theoretical-methodological assumptions of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), in the perspectives of studies on Gender and Sexuality, as well as theories on Journalism. The results indicate that journalistic discourses reproduce hegemonic gender and power relations that contribute to making invisible the identity of trans people, through mechanisms used in the production of violent meanings in/through language, producing and reinforcing stereotypes that may be responsible for maintaining the inequalities and prejudice. We believe that this study is justified in the face of a scenario of violence and rights restrictions and the neoconservatism boom that we are experiencing, in which gender, as a social control device of the greatest importance, was not left out. Therefore, it is imperative to expand research related to fixed notions about gender identities and sexuality, showing the need for discussions about the plurality of experiences of gender and sexualities and how much we still need to advance in this debate.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The phenomenon of self-referentiality implies, from the enunciative perspective of Benveniste (1988 and 1989), the reference to an instance of discourse assumed by the speaker in the individual act of putting the language into operation. In the enunciation, each “I” will have it’s own reference, corresponding, each time, to a unique being, proposed as such, signed to the instance of discourse that contains it. Each instance of using a name evokes a constant and “objective” notion. In turn, the referential indices present in the semiotic plane of the language are able to update a singular object, an effect of the enunciation, and which always remains identical in the representation it awakens. The approach of reference and self-reference is done through the enunciative bias. In other words, reference and self-reference are taken as phenomena linked to enunciation and not as an indication of a remission to the outside world. In the enunciation of person indices, the reference is split between the “I”, which refers and is referred to, which points and is pointed. If, on the one hand, from the perspective of the enunciative theory, the referential approach of the “I” index must consider this cleavage that constitutes it, on the other hand, it is necessary to take into account the relationship of mutual implication that it establishes with the “you” and both are enunciatively opposed to “he”. In this aspect, reference and meaning must be taken within the framework of the relationships established between “I” and “you” and “I-you” and “he” in the semiotic and semantic planes of the language. Likewise, in Literature, the reference must be taken as a phenomenon linked to the relationships established within each work. In this sense, in literary narratives, the way in which each character (himself) enunciates and creates references in the relationship with the other characters is decisive for his constitution as a subject in the plot. From a Benvenistian enunciative perspective, language has empty signs of referentiality that the speaker needs to appropriate in order to constitute and mark himself as a speaking subject in the relationship with the other. Therefore, by filling the referential void of signs in a semiotic state for semantic conversion, the speaker exposes subjective and intersubjective aspects underlying the process of enunciative appropriation. In the literary plot, the way in which this process occurs can reveal a lot about the constitution of the characters as subjects and their relationship with other characters. We will examine how the self-referencing process takes place within a literary narrative and the semiological aspects linked to it. We will base ourselves on the reference/self-reference of the characters in the work “O Quarto Fechado” (2007), by Lya Luft. From the analysis made, it is possible to observe that in the plot the constitution of each character is related to an absent character, due to a tragic death. The way each character deals with this event and represents this death/absence is determinant of their actions and their own constitution. This leads us to observe that, in the work, the meanings and references present in each assumed instance of discourse include aspects related to temporality and other significant elements, such as the color of the place. Thus, self-reference must be taken in the relationship between the semiotic and semantic levels of the language.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The objective of this work is to identify, from the collection of Youtube videos, crying patterns in the early stages of development in very early childhood via emotion. Regarding human development and language acquisition, we will take as a basis Tomasello (2003), who argues that human knowledge is not just a genetic (ontogenic) fruit that has been propagated over time, but that it also carries in its essence, cultural marks and social events (phylogeny) for its development. Already, Vygotsky (2000 [1934]) emphasized the role of language and the social historical process in the development of the individual. According to the Russian researcher, the acquisition of knowledge takes place through the interaction of the subject with the environment. For him, the subject is active and interactive, because it is in the exchange with other subjects that knowledge and social functions are assimilated. Clark (2009) believes that the use of language is an integral part of everyday life in which we convey desires and needs, thoughts, concerns and plans. Finally, for Damásio (2009), the process of emotion and feeling then spreads to other parts of the brain and the body itself, developing the emotional state. Using language feels as natural as breathing or walking. But babies are not born talking. They learn the language, starting immediately at birth. Ekman (2011) was able to detect, in his studies in the 60s, that there are 06 basic emotions. More than 20 years later, other expressions were added. Ekman (2011) was also able to detect more than 10,000 facial microregions in emotional contexts. For the accomplishment of this work, we are carrying out a longitudinal study. This study is important to study individual transitions, the cumulative effects of life cycle transitions, in addition to being able to follow and study cultural differences and changes. This is a research method that aims to analyze variations in the characteristics of the same sample elements (individuals) over a given period.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • With the purpose of discussing the representation of being a woman and being a mother in The Lost Girl, from Elena Ferrante, this work adopted the character as a category of analysis, from which it sought to identify the forms of motherhood representation in the novel. This approach was guided by the dialectical approach and theoretical assumptions established by Lukács (2000), based on the discussion of the problematic hero, and Bakhtin (2002), based on the concepts of dialogism, ideologism, polyphony, and carnivalization. The reflection on being a woman was anchored mainly on the theoretical foundations of Simone de Beauvoir (2006), who discusses the woman as a set of biological, psychological, and historical factors, and Judith Butler (2003), who addresses the multiplicity of the subject and the definitions imposed by a heteronormative structure within a binary system. Further on, motherhood was approached under the historical and social analysis of Elisabeth Badinter (1985, 2011), who problematizes the maternal ideal and the figure of the good mother as intrinsic conditions to female subjectivity, and Bell Hooks (2019), who deals with parenting in modernity, and finally, Mariele Rios (2019), who exposes the conflicts inherent to motherhood. Ultimately, the representation of being a woman and being a mother was analyzed from the point of view of the protagonist - Leda - who lives in conflict about her way of mothering and her place in the world due to the social dictates that impose women to the domestic environment and that differ with their personal aspirations. Through the analysis performed, it was possible to understand motherhood as a social construct, in which the woman is predetermined for reproduction, masking its negative aspects, such as loss of identity, exhaustion, submission, and oppression.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This work investigates how heteronormativity is evident in Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) through signs related to gender and sexuality, considering the linguistic attitudes of the speakers. Gender and sexuality identities are the central issue of Queer Theory, which questions the norms by which some bodies are marked, and others are not. From this point of view, gender and sexuality are independent of genital anatomy, however, in our culture, it is assumed (or expected) that all bodies are cisgender and heterosexual, which leads us to discuss the linguistic practices that maintain this conception. Libras is a visual-motor language and many of its signs arise from the visual characteristic of the referents, which is defined as “iconicity”; it is also heterogeneous, hence, it has linguistic variation. Therefore, I propose to investigate the signs of “heterosexual”, “gay” and “lesbian”, their variants and their etymologies; as well as the interaction of Libras with Portuguese, the language that maintains the majority status in Brazil; and the conception of gender and sexuality that circulates in the linguistic practices of the deaf community. This analysis will start from theoretical linguistic assumptions supported by Variationist Sociolinguistics (LABOV,1972 [2018]), whose target audience of the investigation will be the deaf community of the Metropolitan Region of Recife, focusing attention on the domain of evaluation in the face of variable linguistic forms. Furthermore, to measure these attitudes, I performed tests based on works such as those by Cardoso (2015), Lambert & Lambert (1981), Likert (1932) and Rokeach (1974), and for the analysis and discussion of the semantic load of the signs, I resumed the works by Butler (2018), Capovilla et al (2019), Lanz (2017), Santos (2019) and Veloso (2020). From the point of view of methodology, it is field research, descriptive, comparative, statistical and qualitative. Added to this, the form instrument was applied, through interviews with 22 collaborators. The collected data were processed by BioEstat software version 5.3, SPSS Version 27 and tabulated for comparative and statistical analysis. The main sustained and confirmed hypothesis was that heteronormativity is revealed in Libras through the morphological or iconic etymology of signs related to gender and sexuality identities considered here. In addition, from the perspective of Variationist Sociolinguistics, it was not possible to observe that the LGBTQIAP+ community uses different variants of the heterosexual and cisgender community. The results pointed to the perception of negative stereotypes related to the visuality of signs in these identities; no HETEROSEXUAL sign was considered offensive, unlike two LESBIAN signs and one GAY sign; the use of the HETEROSEXUAL variant, identical to the sign of HUMAN, is verified by the community, with the differentiation depending on the context; there was homogeneity in the recognition of the variants by all the researched groups; and there was a difference in linguistic attitudes between people with different gender and sexuality identities, age ranges and education in the evaluation of certain attributes. For these reasons, this work is relevant for Libras speakers who understand themselves within, or are interested in, dissident gender and sexuality, in the sense of being aware of the use of the signs of "gay", "lesbian" and " heterosexual".

  • This work aims to analyze the inaugural pronouncements of former presidents of Brazil during the period of the Military Dictatorship as a way of contributing to current linguistic studies. Thus, we seek to discuss the concept of hope that is strongly presented in these discursive structures, properly speaking, in the political field. In any social context, power and discourse are fundamental tools for communicating, positioning and, above all, influencing other people. Therefore, studying the inaugural speech of former heads of state and government is necessary to identify the ideological directions, forms of government and their management expectations. In addition, the important thing is to understand which ideological values are being conveyed in these political discourses. We take as a basis, especially, the ideas of Thompson (1990), Charaudeau (2008, 2015, 2016), Fiorin (1988), Orlandi (1993, 2020), Pêcheux (1995, 1997). We selected the inaugural speeches of Humberto de Alencar Castello Branco, Arthur da Costa e Silva, Emílio Garrastazu Médici, Ernesto Geisel and João Baptista de Oliveira Figueiredo, as they represent the 21 years of this sad and troubled chapter of Brazilian history. In the end, we realize that the notion of democracy, so emphasized, has a fundamental role, which is to cover up the structure of a regime marked by repression, persecution and torture in line with an argumentative bias permeated by a “rhetorical of hope”. In addition, during the analysis process, we noticed discursive and ideological trends of the time, in addition to knowing the socio-historical situation of the country.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This research comes from the importance that, during the initial training of teachers in undergraduate courses, undergraduate students have knowledge about issues involving teaching and learning of language and culture, especially I relation to English a Lingua Franca (ELF) and consequently their role as a means of intercultural communication through Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICT) between speakers of different native languages. In the research project we aim to understand the relationship between language, culture and interculturality occurs in the classroom in the context of ELF education as proposed by the National Common Core Curriculum (BNCC). The aim is to investigate how interculturality is materialized in the teaching and learning of ELF in teacher education in the Letras degree course and its application in basic education. For the development of the research, we take authors such as: Kramsch (1993), Fleuri (2002), Corbett (2003), Rajagopalan (2003), Motta-Roth, 2004, Nizegorodcew (2011), Mauranen (2018). In order to address the aim, methodologically, we analyzed the following documents: Legal Opinions of the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC) for Letras Licenciate courses, BNC-Formação (2019; 2020), Pedagogical Projects (PPCs) from five presential Letras undergraduate courses, with double qualification in Portuguese and English, from Federal Higher Education Institutions, one from each Major Region of Brazil, a mandatory supervised internship report, surveys with students and teachers of a language course and with teachers who work in English language teaching. We note that, although interculturality has been brought about since 2001 by the MEC documents, it was barely present in the syllabuses in the English language disciplines of the analyzed PPCs, in the content grids and even in what was reported from the internship experience. We also identified an influential presence of the colonialist vision in English language teaching and found that there is still a small accession to the teaching of ILF and the intercultural approach by teachers and PPCs.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Considering the figure of Graciliano Ramos, not only among those of the 1930’s generation, but also, regarding to the tradition of Brazilian literature, this work consists in the analysis of the expressive elements building the narrative of the book Angústia. In the novel, the author addresses the trajectory of the bureaucrat Luís da Silva (narrator-character-protagonist), through his fragmented memories, whose main objective is to rebuild the course of his life from childhood on the farm, passing through adolescence, ending in his romance with Marina, to the shattering of his self. The failure of the relationship, in turn, promotes the anger of Luís, who loses control and hangs the alleged responsible for his downfall: Julião Tavares. In this scenario, we search to discuss how the use of rhetorical figures metaphor/metonymy/synecdoche) made by the author from Alagoas (Brazil) acts as an element of representation of the characters in their socio-historical contexts. To do that, we follow the ideas of Antonio Candido (1975, 1999, 2006), Otto Maria Carpeaux (1942, 1952, 1953, 1978) and Sônia Brayner (1978), among other theorists as Michel Foucault (1966, 2006), Eric Hobsbawm (1997), Immanuel Kant (2008) and Paul Ricoeur (2000). As a result, it was noticed that Graciliano Ramos, using figures of speech, presents human beings in a conversion process into things, where their individualities are erased at a work expense that does not represent their subjectivities, equating them to automatons. The analysis of rhetorical figures works in parallel with the critical presentation of Brazil at the beginning of the 20th century, surrounded by a climate of modernity, but heir to oligarchies, slave owners and capitalism. Thus, it was analyzed a philosophical idea of the thing itself and its influence on the construction of Western thought, as rhetorical figures and as protagonists in the narrative structure, the characters seen as pieces, the narrator-protagonist and his discourse on the path of dehumanization, in a symbiotic process between humans and machines, through the anguished and fragmented figure of Luís da Silva.
